Ceto is a carefree spirit who prefers peace over war and love over hate. Ceto isn't the best mother at times, and can be a wide bit forgetful. Ceto refuses to speak anything but dire, so chances are if shes with her kids in public the kids would have to translate everything for her.

Astera is a complete and utter tricker who manages to get whatever he wants constantly by his parents. Astera likes to torture his younger siblings in various different ways, before rito could catch him first of course...

➞Personality traits; Quiet, shy, nervous, delicate, sweet, awkward.
→When you first meet him, Mortimer can seem a little unfriendly as he suffers from assorted fears and gets stressed very easily. He also suffers from very minor social anxiety which causes him to become scared when eating and drinking in front of others and when he is giving presentations to others. Outside of these situations, he does not suffer from anxiety. When you get to know him and know that you need to look in completely the opposite direction when he eats or drinks, he becomes a little friendlier and sweeter. Despite the fact he keeps his awkward trait which causes him to stutter and stumble on words and causes him to become flustered. His voice is incredibly quiet and therefore he is often ignored in conversation, he's reluctant to speak up about issues he has or he notices about things due to his shyness when pointing out flaws. He's delicate and sensitive and does not quite have a perfect grasp on the concept of metaphors and figures of speech. He's become a bit more timid than he once was due to his brother Astera's antics, it's made him reluctant to smile, but he can smile when he wants to even if it is shaky. He has a bit of Stockholm syndrome around his brother Astera.


➞Phobias; Autophobia, Automatonophobia, Batophobia, Coulrophobia, Demophobia, Ligyrophobia, Merinthophobia.
→ Autophobia; Fear of being alone. Mortimer is fearful of being alone as he's become highly dependent on those around him. He likes to be the translator for his mother and has grown used to his brother and loves them greatly which makes him so dependent on them. He feels like he wouldn't have a clue what to do without them ever. He gets nauseous and shaky when thinking about being alone.
→ Automatonophobia; Fear of ventriloquist's dummies, animatronic creatures or wax statues. Mortimer experiences automatonophobia when around shop dummies, marionette puppets and ventriloquist's dummies. When seeing one, his eyes often become wide and he is sent into a state of absolute terror, often breaking down into tears and backing away as quickly as possible. He has a recurring nightmare about a puppet show. When shopping, he feels the mannequins are just going to suddenly lurch at him. This is his worst phobia, he cannot go shopping without someone with him, keeping him close. He suffers many symptoms around mannequins such as rapid breathing, increased heart rate, sweating, a dry throat, trembling and inability to form coherent sentences.
→ Batophobia; Fear of heights or being close to tall buildings. He does not like being up high, he thinks it's incredibly dangerous and it makes him feel light-headed. When he's close to a large number of tall buildings at once he feels like he's suffocating since when he looks up, the buildings seem to lean in and make him feel trapped. He begins breathing heavily when around tall buildings and trembles.
→ Coulrophobia; Fear of clowns. He's always feared them ever since his first time going to the circus. He had to go up on stage, however when the clown performed the tricks and pranks, he forced himself not to start crying as the clown had on pretty terrifying, badly-done make up which just made them look creepy. Ever since then, Mortimer has been terrified of clowns. It's not his worst phobia, it's mostly dormant however upon seeing a particularly scary clown it can be triggered in varying intensities. It usually just results in hyperventilating and furious trembling until the image or person is removed from his sight.
→ Demophobia; Fear of crowds. This phobia started when Mortimer lost his family when passing through a particularly large crowd. He got swept away with them and ended up flailing in terror, wailing and sobbing until his parents found him in the entryway of an alley, curled up into a ball and sobbing heavily. He's been afraid of crowds ever since that day, scared of getting swept away from others or snatched from the group. It's a relatively mild phobia, he's not that bothered by it any more.
→ Ligyrophobia; Fear of loud noises. This fear stems from when he overheard a particularly bad thunderstorm. He was out with his family on Halloween when the first boom of thunder passed, the thunder was incredibly loud and scared him, causing him to run away from his family. He ended up in a field where there was a big celebration where there were fireworks. As he ran in, the crowd dispersed as the fireworks had begun spraying everywhere and one came rocketing toward him at a fast speed, hitting him in the back as he tried to run and making an incredibly loud booming sound as it made impact, luckily it wasn't a strong firework, so he was spared with only a temporary burn mark physically, but now he's petrified of loud noises. Especially fireworks.
→ Merinthophobia; Fear of being bound/tied up. He's become scared of being bound due to his brother's torturous intention. It has however caused him to develop Stockholm syndrome toward his brother.


➞ Likes & Dislikes;
✔ Drawing → Mortimer loves to draw various things such as his family, himself and beautiful scenery. He adores sketching the view out of his window at various points of the day and often travels to big buildings and takes a series of pictures from that window, drawing each individual photo in order to show how the streets change. He also loves to draw flipbooks like this one.
✔ Watching the moon → Mortimer adores watching the moon, it gives him a chance to relax and he adores just observing it, the stars twinkling around it and the soft glow the moon gives off illuminating the sky ever so slightly.
✔ Cravats → He loves to wear a cravat, it makes him feel 'like a million dollars' as he puts it himself. He also feels more like a gentleman and thinks he's more presentable when wearing one of the fancy clothing items.
✔ His family → He loves his family with his whole heart, despite his brother Astera's behaviour and his mother's forgetfulness.
✔ Mushrooms & Stuffed mushrooms → He loves to eat mushrooms and stuffed mushrooms, he loves garlic breaded mushrooms and mushrooms stuffed with mashed potato with added garlic.
✔ Stuffed peppers → It's another one of the things he just likes, he loves them stuffed with ground beef, gravy and with lingonberry jam on top.
✔ Puzzle video games → He loves them, he loves to test his intellect and is often entranced by the storylines. It's one of the only places his phobias do not bother him and so you often see him absorbed in his console. He's extremely fond of the Professor Layton series.
✔ Martial arts → He took up martial arts to try and learn to defend himself better against his brother and against those who could pose a threat to him, he's actually surprisingly good at it and tries his hardest. He's incredibly resilient when he is learning a new kata. He has recently received his higher purple belt by taking the exam and performing the Heian Godan kata with few errors, earning him his 4th Kyu belt.
✘ Strategy games → He has tried his best to get the hang of these types of games, however he just cannot seem to do so. He claims it's because he doesn't have the intellect to do so, however he knows it's most likely because he just doesn't understand the concept of the games properly.
✘ Bats → He's heard many stories of vampires and that has led to him developing a disliking for bats, he also considers them as dirty creatures and therefore dislikes them quite a bit.
✘ Eating green veg → He claims they taste like grass and refuses to eat any green vegetable because he hates them that much. He doesn't have a better reason as to why he doesn't like them.
✘ Aeroplanes → His fear of heights makes this pretty obvious, aeroplanes fly very high up, therefore he's petrified of them.
✘ Squid → He dislikes both the texture and the concept of eating squid or touching a squid, he cannot stand being near them because he considers them "slimy, disgusting creatures".
✘ Reality TV → He considers them ridiculous, saying there's way too much drama in them and there doesn't need to be that much drama. He can't stand half of the characters portrayed in them and finds them annoying.
✘ Painting → He's nowhere near as talented at painting as he is at drawing, he always ends up messing up what he's doing when he's trying to paint and in turn gets irritated at it and gives up.
✘ Coffee → The bitterness puts him off of this drink, no matter how much sugar he puts into it and milk he adds he just can't get rid of the bitterness and therefore refuses to drink it.

➞Quirks;
→ Mortimer pronounces many words wrong, those he pronounces wrong are 'sherbet' [he says it shur-burt not sher-bet], 'worcester' [as wor-ches-ter not woy-ster], 'picture' [he says pit-cher not pic-shur or pic-tchur] and 'specific' [he says peci-fic and not spe-ci-fic].
→ He is prone to grunting when he is worried, it's often obvious when he's stressed about something as he starts making weird grunting sounds as he paces around.
→ He chews on things when he's bored. If he's bored and he's got nothing to do, just give him a pen and he'll start chewing it.
→ Mortimer stutters when anxious, he cannot help it and no matter how hard he tries to stop it he just can't do it, he also clicks his tongue after stuttering.
→ He is fascinated by the sound of bottle whistling and is very good at it himself, however is very shy about his talent, despite the fact he can play 'sexy and i know it' pretty well with just five bottles.
