Coalpaw ran back to camp. Looking for Shadedecho, he bumped into another warrior. Muttering a sorry and cursing, he padded to all of the dens. Having no luck finding his mentor, he went to go find somebody else, not feeling too hopeful. He didn't want to keep the loner waiting but he needed a mentor to come with him. Sitting in the middle of camp, he gave himself a quick wash, hoping that Finch didn't mind waiting too much. His black coat finally looked silky again and he yawned.

Finch yawned and lifted her pale head. Coalpaw had been gone for ages! She began to doubt if he was coming. Arching her back, she padded to where Coalpaw had disappeared. Waiting on the border, she lay in the sun. Grooming her patched fur, she kept her eyes half open for any cats that might bring her to Sandstar. Scenting prey, she leapt up. A squirrel was eating just there. She leapt and killed it swiftly, carrying it to her spot by the border.

Ashpaw couldn't help but notice Coalpaw looking around camp and then settling himself in the middle of the clearing. Padding causally over to his fellow apprentice the large tom flicked an ear in confusion, "Who are you looking for?" He asked, curiosity filling his tone and bright green eyes as he looked at Coalpaw.

Coalpaw jumped at the voice; He must have fallen asleep! "Shadedecho. I found a- a loner. She says she wants to talk to Sandstar, but I need a warrior to come with me. She's outside of camp," he meowed, flicking his tail to the enterence. "She says her name is Finch." Still puzzling over how she knew so much about the Warriors, he explained all she had said to Ashpaw. "Do you know where she is maybe?" she asked hopefully.

Ashpaw thought over all that had been said to him before shaking his head, "No, I can't say I've seen Shadedecho at all lately." He was sorry he couldn't be more help to Coalpaw, "Sorry." He added in at the end. "But you could probably find another warrior to go with you." His mother, Littlestep had first come to mind but the black tom had remembered seeing her leave camp with Creampelt a bit earlier.

Stormpaw was a bit unsure of what had changed the tom's mind, though she didn't ask. Instead she just gave him half a smile, "Thanks." She piped up, though her tone was still heavy with sorrow for Sootnose's loss. Padding over to him, the molly looked up, "Where are we going?" She asked curious about where he had been going when she stopped him.

Sootnose licked his chest fur in embarrassment as they started to walk. "Looking for flowers," he mumbled, pelt hot, as it seemed very silly out of context.

Stormpaw began to walk along side the warrior as he answered her question, "Flowers?" She questioned aloud, for some reason not even thinking of Starfall. "Why?"

Sootnose flicked his long, slender tail. "For her grave, of course!" he averted his amber gaze, blushing deeply.

Sandstar let out a sigh, padding to the nursery to retrieve her medicine cat. "May I come in?" The leader meowed into the nursery, hearing the mews of kits.

Mothkit and Frozenkit had already ran into the nursery, waiting until the kits had been born. "What are their names?" Mothkit askedn extremely curious about his new denmates. Frozenkit did look curious, but she still looked annoyed. Less denspace. And Lunarwing is going to have kits too! I'll be squashed! The kits hardly realized their apprentice ceremony was coming up in a few days.

Littlestep nodded to her, "Now that was a good catch." The warrior smiled at her clanmate as she pawed some dirt over the squirrel to keep it hidden till they came back this way to pick it up. Going to back conversing the she-cat glanced up at Creampelt, "Funny how we're both in the same clan yet don't really ever talk...." The grey molly trailed off, unsure of where she was going with it.

Stormpaw looked down and shook her head, "Of course." She muttered, "I'm such a mouse-brain." The apprentice didn't often insult herself, though when it did happen she thoroughly believed it to be true. "I don't know why I didn't think of that, what kind of flowers?" She asked trying to speak up, hoping he didn't hear the mouse-brain comment.
