Feeling slightly empowered by Sparrowclaw's outspoken support and encouragement, Fogpelt nodded swiftly, "I've gotta agree with Sparrow here Fawnstep. If we even catch so much as a whiff of 'em, I'm gonna be on their tails like a gator goin' for Gatorfoot's leg, no questions asked." The gray tom hadn't noticed that his claws were sheathing and unsheathing themselves as he spoke, but once he did he, didn't care. Somewhere deep inside, the tom was practically begging that some of those rogues would be where they didn't belong. It had been a long time since he'd sunk his claws into something other than a piece of prey.

Fawnstep sighed as her brother confirmed his willingness to start a fight. "You know what, fine. But if things get bad, I warned you." Mumbling grumpily under her breath, the she-cat picked up the pace as she began to recognize the area near the border. She spoke, mostly to herself, "We really have neglected marking the borders over here, you can barely smell our markers anymore..." Dodging a small clump of bushes, Fawnstep spotted the dense line of trees that their scent markers should've been strongest along. "You two get to work, I'll go along here and see if we have any... unwanted guests." She heard Fogpelt grumble in mock annoyance from behind her, "Aye aye, Captain." She rolled her eyes and began to trot along the border, praying quietly that she wouldn't find anything, or anyone for that matter, that would start a scuffle.

Cougarpaw flinched as Badgerpaw's paw came towards him, but quickly relaxed seeing as he was just patting down the fur on his head. His amber eyes flicked from his paws to the tom, and back down to his paws again as he mumbled a barely audible, 'thank you', and allowed an awkward silence to stretch on for so long that he could've sworn he could feel it pressing down on his shoulders. You're really not good at this socializtion thing, are you? Geez, just say something. Cougarpaw shook his head and looked back up, "So... uh..." Lost for words, the tom continued to sit there quietly, seemingly looking like he was thinking very hard about what to say next.
