the young tom looked up as the she-cat bounded over. he dropped the vole he had just caught on the pile and turned his attention to her. "hiya scarletwhisker!" he greeted her with a soft purr, swaying his fluffy tail. he had always honoured the fact she was daughter to naomi, and always wondered if the young milly got her beauty from her mother. damn silverwing. he had to ruin his curiousity.

steathily, the she-cat pushed her small body to the dense undergrowth, silently stalking a mouse that hadn't noticed her yet. the mouse's light brown fur had caught her light stormy eyes the moment rainpool had stepped out of the bracken.
