Is there anything that always/almost always causes you to stop reading a diary?

cliche plot ideas.
grammar.
punctuation.
mary/gary sues.
there doesn't need to be a queen bee all the time,you know. and the queen bee can also be nice.
family writing in the diary. [ unless it has something to do with the story,which i don't think it ever will.. ]
author's notes in the middle of the entry. [ i used to do that,now i dont. ]

and i am actually fine with people posting on the diary thread IF they don't spam.
if they do,i make a fanclub.

I haven't read the Blueberry,i was a little too busy ^^; but the feedback i heard was great,and I hope that whatever problems you're going through right now,would solve themselves.
Don't be so harsh on yourself,that's what ruins great things sometimes c;

Yup. In the duct-tape the main characters sister, the queen bee, a pirate and a leader of a sort of spy thingy write in the main characters dairy. Oh and her boyfriend

You know... If it makes you feel better, I got a little jealous of you at one point. Because I like your writing + you have tons of readers that comment a lot. When you leave your blueberry, you should leave knowing that your writing was awesome- and I mean that. ... I'd strongly encourage you not to quit, but if you feel it's right, you should definitely do what's better for you.

I personally have never minded that... in the Enigma/diary contest entry, I had Khairul's sister, Fatin, take his diary and write in it. Done right, it can help show other peoples' personalities and worldviews. Of course, part of that is because K seems to view the world through extremely theatrical sunglasses, which reflects in his writing, while the others are actually normal-ish.

Continuing that point, think about this: Have any of you actually been in a school where the 'Queen Bee' girl sorts everyone out? Plus one time it should be a guy :P

I agree with every single one of your ideas about Piefan's question. (What makes you stop reading a diary.) Usually diaries that are like that last for only 3 days or only 5 entries. I think some people write them because they're "the thing" now, but it takes effort to have quality work!
