He chuckled.."Me? Oh, I'm six moons old currently. Swiftstar would have already made me an apprentice but with the sick cats and the dark forest rising, she just can't find the time to do so." he answered. "I wonder what it's like being an apprentice... it's probably much better then being a kit. All we practically get to do is sit around and wait patiently to go outside of the nursery." Owlkit complained to Amberkit, the kit he was having a conversation with.

"Yeah, It is pretty boring being a kit. I'm sure you'll get to be an apprentice soon. Everything currently happening in the clan is probably really hard and time consuming..." She exclaimed.

He nodded and sighed softly. "I-i just wish that Tigerkit could have been here with us to be apprenticed. But many moons ago, he was taken by an eagle and then Beetlekit saved him and brought him back to the Clan. But it was too late..." He choked.

"I'm so sorry, It's just terrible when a kit dies, I'm sure he's in a better place.." She replied.

He sighed. "Yes, yes, I know. It's just so horrible that some cats have to die at such a young age. Have you ever lost anyone close to you, do you know how it feels?" He asked her sadly.

"When I was a tiny kit, only around 1 and a half moons old, I lost my sister to a pack of coyotes, she was only 4 moons old, I was really young, so I didn't exactly understand, I actually thought she was adopted by the coyotes and was going to live with them," She chuckled

He sighed.."I understand what you must feel like. I lost my father, Wolfspirit, and my brother, Tigerkit. I just wish there wasn't a such thing as death! I hate it so much!" he complained.

"I'm so sorry to hear that, Owlkit, death really does suck. But you have to think, without it, evil cats couldn't die, and cats would live infinity moons, and they would be unable to do anything." She chuckled a bit, but had a hint of sadness in her voice.
