Riann awoke with a start, her sleep overcome by stifling heat. She rolled over in the gritty, dry sand and stood up, raising her wings over herself in an attempt to create some shade in the otherwise sun-scorched desert. She failed to remember what had happened between the time that she and Willow had caught the deer and the present moment: it was as if no time had passed at all, though she knew it had. How had she gotten to the middle of the desert? No doubt, this was the work of the scientists, but as to why, Riann couldn't figure out. However, she had more important matters to worry about at the moment: shade and water.
Blinking from the brightness of the sun's light reflecting off the sparkling sand, she surveyed the cactus-ridden land that stretched out around her, searching for anything that could offer some escape from the relentless heat. It wasn't long before her sharp gaze spotted a rocky outcrop jutting out from the horizon. In her injured and near-dehydrated state, it would be a challenging trek, despite the short distance. However, the promise of shade and the possibility of water made it worth the journey. She could try to figure out the whole situation and find Willow later, but for now, her own survival mattered, as she wouldn't be able to carry out either of those tasks if she was dehydrated to death. She glanced around once more, and began to walk towards the lone hill.
She was almost two-thirds of the way there when she noticed another hybrid a few meters to her side, half-hidden by a scraggly bush. She came to a stop and, turning to face them, warily called out, "Hello? Who are you?"
(If anyone wants to interact with Riann, you can have your character be the hybrid she found behind the bush ^-^)

Ash blinked his eyes open slowly, still a bit groggy from the sedatives. "Wha...?" Why was it so hot? He sat up and looked around, shading his eyes with his hand-paw. All he saw was sand, cacti, rocks, and shrubs. So, he was in a desert. Had the scientists released him? No, they wouldn't just leave him out in the middle of the desert alone. After thinking about it, he decided that he must find out why and how he was there. Standing up, he picked a random direction and began moving. Sweat soon began to bead on his forehead; even without his cold-adapted animal DNA, he was never well-adapted to heat.
After what seemed like an eternity of walking, he spotted multiple figures in the distance, the shapes hazy from the heat but certainly there. Dropping to all fours, he began to run in their direction, sand kicking up behind him as he quickly lumbered across the desert. Soon he was within shouting distance of the group. He stood up and yelled, "Hey! Who's there?!" across the dry expanse of sand, letting his arms dangle like an upright bear.
Sasha Kessint | 21 | Domestic | 14% Jaguar, 8% Bloodhound | Open
Sasha was immediately alert upon awaking, and sat upright on her bed. She softly cursed as she got up off the bed, her long, patterned tail lashing behind her. She never actually consented to being sedated, and in fact strongly refused to be, but the scientists wouldn't take no for an answer and ended up forcefully injecting her with an incredibly strong sedative. The original effect had worn off after a day, but she was still very groggy at that point and it had been easy for the scientists to keep her unconscious. Now that she was fully awake, she was very angry with the scientists, though she was wise enough to know that it was in her best interest not to show her displeasure.
With a sigh, she checked the list of hybrids that was pinned up on the wall. "Let's see... Alexander Hale, Dominique Lucero, Rhianna Foxglove..." Alexander was very compliant, and would be very easy to bring in, though he tended to always be with at least two other hybrids. Dominique was notoriously feisty when it came to capture, and was extremely fast. Rhianna could also be aggressive, though usually ended up giving in. She figured, whoever she came across first, she would bring in. With that, she left her room and the Lab, and went out into the new Dome.
(Sorry for the dead-ended post, there's no hybrids Sasha can go after right now without running into another one of my characters.)
