Chickadeeflight gasped and immediately calmed herself. The she-cat spotted the herbs that she needed and bounded towards them. Tormentil and Snakeroot. She collected them and rushed back to the tom. ''Here, eat this quickly.'' She shoved the herbs in front of him and started making the ones that she had kept into a paste. The paste was rubbed onto the wound and she encouraged him to eat the herbs that she had gathered. That was the only way that she knew how to treat it. She buried her nose into his shoulder and waited for him to eat the herbs. ''Y-y-you know that I care about you. S-s-so much. The Medicine Cat Code keeps us apart.''

Aspenthorn smiled weakly chewing the herbs slowly. He hardly lifted his head up, paws stretched out so she could work. He felt a weak purr rumble through him as he weakly licked her leg looking up at her. He couldn't talk, still trying to chew the herbs and save his energy. He could feel his eyes closing softly, but the burning in his paw was subsiding. He closed his eyes letting a few tears fall as he breathed shakily, and rested, waiting for the herbs to work.
He wanted to tell her how much he cared, how badly he wished they could be together. To hear what she said almost seemed punishment from starclan. He struggled slightly, the herbs finally acting as he forced himself to lay on his stomach instead of his side. He looked up at her, forcing a weak smile. "I don't care about the code. I care about you..."

The she-cat frowned slightly as she heard what the tom said. ''I don't want to lose my position as the medicine cat, but I want to be with you.'' The she-cat sat down beside him and rested her head on his shoulders. ''Are the herbs working? Are you feeling better again?'' She swept her tail from side to side. ''You'll need to get to camp as soon as you can walk.''

Frostheart yawned as he padded from the camp. He padded deeper into the forest and caught the scent of a familiar cat. ''Hello, Acornfrost.''

Aspenthorn coughed slightly shaking his head. "I know. You care so much, you would never choose me over being medicine cat. Even if it was secret." He looked up at her smiling at her slight annoyance. He breathed deeply, sitting up a little more. "The herbs are working, we will be able to go soon. Just. No matter what you choose, I love you." He looked at her with large honest eyes, pleading. "I don't care if it would be secret, or forbidden. Everyone should be happy, everyone should have the chance to love." He sighed moving away from her slightly and shakily got to his paws, grabbing the snake and squirrel in his jaws so he wouldn't have to talk. She would tell him what she wanted. No matter what he would love her.

Cloudpaw shyly padded into the clan clearing, looking around quietly. He made his way to the fresh kill pile, taking a small bird and bringing it over to a corner in the clan clearing. The young apprentice bit into his meal, avoiding eye contact.

Acornfrost perked her ears for a moment before setting down her catches. "Hello Frostheart." The she-cat said, frozen blue orbs blinking at the other warrior calmly. "How are you today?" She spoke softly and politely.

(( Aspenthorn kinda stole Chickadeeflight >.> They talked for a bit, about Smokeblossom expecting kits, the medicine cat code and the new loner being made an apprentice. Aspenthorn went hunting and Chickadeeflight went with him gathering herbs. Ashpaw showed Bandit around camp. Aspenthorn saved Chickadeeflight from an adder but got bitten. Both like each other very much, but Chickadeeflight doesn't want to loose her position as medicine cat. Smokeblossom told Shadowstripe she is expecting kits. Addie-Dee joined, and Acornfrost is talking to Frostheart in the woods

The black and white she-cat walked beside him, ready to be there if he needed to lean on her. She had the bundle of herbs that she had gathered in her mouth. ''You'll need to rest for a few days.'' She looked at him before she entered the camp. He risked his life for me. I suppose that the least I can do is risk my rank for him. ''Fine, but it has to be a secret,'' she mumbled around the herbs.
