Aspenthorn licked his chest quickly looking up at her. "If you want I can hunt as you collect herbs? I like your company." He stood up slowly stretching out his legs. He nodded to her smiling. "Just holler if you need anything." The large white and brown pointed tom looked at the fresh kill pile and sighed, tail drooping. He hated how shy and awkward he was toward Chickadeeflight, wishing he had the confidence to tell the pretty she cat how he honestly felt.

Smokeblossom picked up her head, glaring around the clearing feeling her pelt prickle. She swore someone was talking about her, the pointed queen sighed and just went back to grooming. She was large, but not too big, she already went out hunting. Silently she wondered where Shadowstripe was, if her clanmates hadn't given it away or he hadn't guessed she should probably tell him.
Again, she was still a warrior for a long time yet. But the she cat had always been rather petite and was showing slightly. She looked around for her mate blinking slowly. "Shadowstripe?"

Smokeblossom purred bumping her head against his affectionately. "Care to join me for a walk? I just got back from hunting but I'd like to talk." Her long feathery tail twitched nervously as she purred thinking of how to word this, knowing most mates she hated to think of him treating her like she was fragile. She remembered her mother complaining of her father practically walling her into the nursery. The soon to be queen stood up smiling softly.

The she-cat felt a surge of happiness as the tom said that he enjoyed her company. ''I'll come with you,'' she mewed decisively and padded towards the entrance of the camp. ''So where will you be hunting? I'm sure that I can find some herbs around there,'' she called over her shoulder and slowed as she waited for the tom to catch up.

The black and white tom nodded and padded beside the she-cat. His pelt just barely brushed her pelt. ''So, you all have the cats sit by rank?'' He looked up at the big rock with a little bit of awe. His tail tip twitched as he looked around camp and saw many other dens.

"yup! that's our den over there" she beckoned with her tail to a rocky area with a small cave in the center."the warriors den is over there... over theres the nursery and elders den... their the warmest in leafbare... and that's the medicine cat den!" she mewled, swishing her tail to all the dens and she stumbled slight as she lost her balance.

Aspenthorn fidgeted thinking it over. "I wanted to hunt around the hollow log, it's leafbear so I was going to try my luck with gathering moss and finding some mice. Maybe there will be some herbs?" The large white tom purred, bounding after the medicine cat. How ironic he was always chasing after her.

the black tom sped after her and leaped over hollow log happily, running right beside her, their pelts brushing as he sped along beside her.

Smokeblossom laughed purring happily as she felt the wind through her fur and her mate by her side. She slowed down when she was close to Rockpool panting slightly. "Ahh, that felt wonderful." She purred, twining her tail with Shadowstripe's. "Let's head over to Rock pool, that ok?" The queen purred relaxing as she walked in the calm woods with her mate, about to give wonderful news.
