avengers assemble.
an assortment of villans are back, some a bigger threat than others. Some of them include the Frost Giant and God of Mischief, Loki, along with the Ultron and the Winter Soldier. There are of course other villains, but many of them pose a lesser threat.

Pietro Maximoff or "Quicksilver" is not dead, but very much alive thanks to some of Mr. Stark's technology, and the Avengers have not disbanded. Natasha Romanova is still trying to get Steve Rogers to date someone, so things are pretty normal for the Avengers.

The mission now is to keep people safe, like it always has been. With the new threats rising, the Avengers will be called for again, no doubt about that. But just like villains, there are also new heroes rising as well. An organization by the name of HYDRA, which was around when Steve Rogers was fighting in WWII, is still intact, though severely damaged. It's rumored that they are behind a number of lab incidents, providing well-known criminals with adept superhuman ability, powers. These criminals all have something in common as well. They want revenge on SHIELD. Whether it be a lost family member, or just hate, all of these criminals want revenge on SHIELD. They are the villians that pose a low threat to the Avengers and SHIELD, however some are more powerful than the others.

Along with The Avengers, there are other well-known superheros residing in NYC as well as rising superheroes. Everything is going pretty well so far, but having Loki, Ultron, and the Winter Soldier aback all at the same time is putting SHIELD and the others a little on edge about things.

Just remember it's always calm before a storm.

➤ please notify me if you're going to be gone for awhile, don't just join and drop out, i will not accept you back in unless it's for a good reason.
➤ make your forms a little detailed, it doesn't have to be fancy, but i'd like you to have the basics.
➤ if you have a superpower that's very powerful like shapeshifting or telekinesis then you can only have a couple smaller powers. ex. you can't control minds and shapeshift or you can't control water and fire.
➤ relationships take time, don't just dive headfirst into a relationship, let it build up. ((don't be too obvious with liking someone either.))

Aspen sat in the narrow alleyway, watching a small crowd of people fight over nothing. Their seemed to be two groups of people -- gangs. She had been watching them fight for at least an hour now, and it wasn't getting them anywhere. She had begun to lose interest, until a gunshot was fired out and the group scattered, only one person was left behind on the ground. Aspen wasn't shocked, though for a 15 year-old, she probably should've been. She shouldn't have even ben there in the first place, but she didn't come from a good home life, so things were different for her. With a small sigh, she shoved her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket, stood up, and left. She put herself at a rather brisk pace upon hearing a couple of sirens. She wasn't in the mood to get caught up in someone else's problems; at least not today. {wb}

Aaron sipped his coffee feebly, peering out of the windows. For awhile now, he'd been thinking about HYDRA and SHIELD and all of the unanswered questions pondering in his mind. He left some money on the table he was sitting at before leaving the shop and heading down the busy sidewalk. He didn't particularly like being crowded around tons of strangers on a random street - but that was New York for you. Aaron just happened to be a bit claustrophobic due to spending so much time in a cell at HYDRA. He ran a hand through his hair, tussling it a bit before letting his hand fall to his side. He was very aware of his surroundings, especially the homeless man begging on the corner he was approaching. Aaron usually gave them food whenever he had it, so he set his coffee down by the man before becoming overrun with the crowd. (wb)

America sat in her chair, spinning around lazily. Her job was quite easy. Watch the prisoners and if they did anything call someone. That hardly ever happened, considering SHIELD was a maze within itself and the laser backups if the prisoners broke through the metal bars. She shook out her blonde hair a bit, stopping to each a man wwwho was repeatedly beating his fist against the metal bar. "That's not going to work, dummy." She sighed through her headpiece, projecting her voice into the cells. He only responded by merely flipping off the camera, much to Mer's distaste. She drew her lips in a thin line before checking over a couple of reports and files. (wb)

"So the neurotransmitters interact with the receivers in the spinal taps and let you control the legs with your thoughts. This is cutting edge stuff. Do you have any idea what we can do with this?"

"Didn't that Octopus guy make that same technology...like a decade ago?"

Sasha frowned. It was clear that he was excited about his latest work, in collaboration with a few of the scientists at SHIELD. Marc smirked at her jab.

"No, it's completely different. Doctor Octavius used a combination of AI and neurotransmitters. This is completely by thought, no artificial intelligence involved."

"Isn't Iron Man's armor controlled by thought?"

"No. He has an AI." Sasha was clearly becoming irritated. Now Marc was just doing it on purpose. She liked to play dumb whenever he went all geek speak on her, just to get him riled up. He was like a dog with a bone when it came to this kind of thing. Marc liked to listen about all his toys every now and then, but two hours in, and she needed a change of topic.

"This could be used to help paraplegics walk again. We could heal spinal injuries just by replacing the spinal cord. How is this not interesting?" The man waved his hand in exasperation.

"You know I love technology as much as the next guy, but I don't need to know how each and every thing works." Marc shrugged. The two were headed down to the prisoner holding level, taking off for their lunch break. Marc thought they could invite America to tag along. She needed another female to talk to every now and then. When they rounded the corner into the prison block control booth, Sasha forgot all about his latest project and went into full flirt mode. Marc silently rolled her eyes as he ran a hand over his short hair.

"Privyet devotchka. Would you come to get the, how you say, sub sandwiches?" Sasha said, thickening his accent and roughing his English.
"Oh shut up," Marc said, elbowing him. They all knew Sasha spoke English better than most of today's modern youth. His weak act at playing the charming foreigner never really worked.

Marc turned to America. "Hey, so we're gonna' go get some lunch. Wanna come?"

America was fidgeting with her ear piece, taking it off and setting it down by her computer panel. She looked a little startled as Marceline and Sasha swayed into the room, and she had to suppress a small giggle as Sasha thickened his accent. "Yeah, I could use a break." She said, giving a small smile to the two agents before standing up, smoothing out some of the wrinkles in her uniform. "Wherever is fine, I just need a break from that guy." She groaned, jabbing her thumb over her should, referring to the prisoner displayed on the screen. He was still punching the metal bars, glaring at the camera. "You don't understand how badly I want to open the bars and let him punch the lasers instead." She rolled her eyes, grabbing her shoulder-strap purse and slinging it over herself before switching the controls over to an AI. She scanned her worker ID before leaving the room with the two, eager to leave the small and cramped room. She had to share the office space with another worker, who half of the time, just seemed nonexistent. She basically ran the show down there. Though Vision did stop by from time to time as she was always happy to help give him some insight to more about humans and SHIELD. But he was also an Avenger, so it didn't happen often.

Vision leaned on a panel, staring ahead into the surrounding areas of the new facility. He caught a couple glimpses of birds taking flight, eyes softening in curiosity. The large glass windows were one of the beauties that he enjoyed, spending his free time just looking out into the world around him. He was not aware of any training schedules nor any missions he was assigned to, so he just walked around the facility. He had heard of all the commotion happening deeper inside the city, as well as how much SHIELD was doing to control it, so he was glad to help in any way he could. Despite the number of places that HQ held, he rather liked the solitude of this area. It was calming and tranquil, giving the android enough time to think; to ponder. An added plus had to be the lack of strange looks; not that they affected him, they just were unnerving sometimes when they looked at him with reserved caution. Or was it wariness? He was still learning some of the finer details of emotions. "People are strange..." He sighed, a hand tracing the Mind Gem while cracking a small smile. Taking a small breath, he pushed up from the wall and walked towards the transparent window. With a quick stride, Vision phased through the glass and stepped onto the plush grass with a small chuckle. "The feeling of grass is still so..." He frowned for a moment, before finishing his sentence. "Lively." With that, he looked around.

"This bites." Jenica murmured, clutching a bag of peanut M&M's in one hand while she tapped at a phone in the other. With that, she balanced a book under her armpit and used the sweets filled hand to fix her glasses. She was good at multitasking when it was needed, but she had her mind on other things. Slotting the yellow packet into her sketching bag and retrieving her book, Jen increased her pace. It was just supposed to be a quick trip to pick up her book order, stop by a store to stop her craving and then get home; but as usual, she had other ideas. The city was a wonderful place to explore in her eyes, especially when she was looking for a muse. If she could just find a place to sit, then she could start another sketch for her portfolio. Biting her lip in concentration, she listed a couple places to go to. "Maybe if I get a good angle of the skyline..." She murmured, eyebrows burrowing.

The noise was annoying: The jabber of civilians walking past him, the hoots and honks of the buzzing transport, the small whispers in his ear-piece ...Sometimes Ray couldn't help but roll his eyes. He was supposed to be waiting for someone, well, someone that HYDRA told him to wait for. He didn't know the full details of the current operation, which irked him to no end, but he shrugged it off and accepted the mission. 'A simple meeting and you can go straight back.' they had said. Snorting softly, he stared back at the coffee cup perched in his hands. The steam had already left the cup, indicating just how long he had waited. Looking down at the floor once again, he murmured to the floor. 'How long?'
It only took a couple of seconds before the Agents told him to abandon the mission, making him gnash his teeth. Go figure, the idiots probably got caught.

[Metronome]

"I'll drive!" Sasha announced with a grin. He pulled his car keys from his pocket and pivoted on his heels. "We can go to that meat on a stick place down the block."

"The kebab place? Zaman's?" Marc asked with a giggle. The man went there at least once a week, but his insistent habit of never learning its name was pretty amusing.

"Yeah, that one."

As they headed back to the ground level, towards the parking deck, Marc happened to glance out one of the windows to see a familiar red and green figure. The gaudy Christmas theme was hard to miss. She paused for a second, causing Sasha to almost run into her back.
"Hey, is that the Vision?" She asked, cutting Sasha's complaint off before he could even get it out. The Russian man closed his mouth and followed her line of sight. The android was just outside of the glass wall, looking down at the grass.

"Yeah..." Sasha said, the word trailing off. Then, "Do you think he wants to come get lunch?"

"Does he eat food?"

"Yeah! I think I saw him eat a cookie once." Sasha broke away from their group and went to knock on the glass.

Thanks to a special wing surprising drug that Bruce Banner had created for her the young woman was finally able to venture into the unknown world. Her memories of the world before were gone so everything was new and exciting to her. Pulling her coat in around herself as she stumbled through the crowded New York streets she sighed as she ducked into a small ally way for a little peace and quiet. Glancing around nervously as she noticed a group of men coming her way she tried to force her way back in to the bustling city street- but to no avail. Looking over her shoulder she noticed that her wings were still retraced like the claws of a cat. Of all the times to not have her wings this wasn’t a great one. “You lots little lady?” a man slurs as he stumbles her way over to her. In truth yes she was but she didn’t want to admit that to him. “No, I’m fine.” She says nervously as several other suspicious looking men appear, “you know; we could show a girl like you how to have some fun if you want.” He grins drunkenly as he breaths into her face. Scrunching up her face in disgust she shakes her head firmly. The man shrugs and grabs a hold of her wrist “Aww com’on don’t be so uptight we just want to have some fun, right boys?” he laughs as Sophia struggles and finally breaks free “aww where you going little bird?” the man calls as he starts to run after her.

In a blind panic the angle ran as fast as she could; now she understood why Steve wasn’t so keen on her leaving shield. Slamming into a young man (Aaron) she fell backwards. “Ow…” she mutters to herself before leaping to her feet frantically and looking the boy over “I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to bump into you like that! Are you okay?” she asks completely forgetting about the men as she watches him with worried eyes. His face seemed familiar somehow but she couldn’t quite place him, frowning as she wracked her brain she realised she knew him from hydra.
