under his pelt. "I'd never leave this forest. Even if dogs came. This is our home."
he murmured quietly, wondering is he should press his muzzle into her shoulder.
"Where would you go if we had to leave?" he mewed into her fur, his
muzzle grazing her shoulder.

"knowing me, i'd probably go out fighting. but i'd retreat to the highlands if i had someone to go with. it looks like you'd get better rainfall and hotter days up there, when i see them... -what about you?" she purred, curling her tail around the two to keep them both warm.

wintercloud felt so happy when she was with aspenwhisker. she felt like she could sit and talk with him all day and all night. he was perfect! she smiled, ducking her head under his and nuzzling him with a calmed sigh of happiness.
