I am a fan of Steven Universe but the cat isn't SU inspired.
The eyes on the shoulder are a hint to what type of gem that is. Kudos to anyone who can guess right.

It's my birthstone, a ruby. To be more exact, Pigeon's Blood Ruby. Named after pigeon blood or the colour of pigeon eyes.
