Sunstar sighed and padded out of camp, needing to clear his mind. His bright fur gleamed in the sunlight.

Lola listened to the quiet noises of the forest, tipping her head and turning it carefully to get the whole experience. She enjoyed watching the sun gleam off of the river and even the small fish that darted near the surface. She hadn't felt so much calm in quite some time.

She felt her bite itch, so she bent over to clean it. She could still remember the feeling of teeth sinking into her flesh. It wasn't an enjoyable experience, but then again, most of her life hadn't. Her tail twitched in annoyance at the thought.

She turned back to the river running into the lake. She could go for some food. Something fresh, not like bark or half-rotten. The last town was terrible, she was forced to sleep outside, without any warmth besides her own.
And the body of the puppy she killed, but that was besides the point. It got cold quickly anyways.

She looked at her claws, unsheathing and re-sheathing them in the soft soil. She figured she should get a move on and find one of those wild cats she heard of. She got up and started walking into the heart of the forest, where the smell of cats was strongest.

He flicks his ear as he hears pawsteps. His eyes gleam with curiosity before checking the air to scent his leader's scent. He yawns a bit before stretching. He shakes his fur before padding towards Sunstar.

Blizzardwind started off towards the lake. He sped up into a sprint, his silvery fur flashing through the trees. Once he got to the lake, he exploded from the bushes and took a flying leap into the warm water of the lake. He didn't see Lola on the bank nearby.

Sunstar saw Wolfclaw through the trees. "Hello!" He called to the deputy.

Lola was startled by a shape whizzing not many steps away from her, a large splash coming from the lake not a few seconds later. She ran towards the shaper, her fur every-which-way in terror, her tail lashing back and forth.

When she saw a grey-silver cat swimming in the water, she allowed for herself to take a few breaths and calm herself, though her tail still twitched a bit and her hackles were still raised.

"s-s'cuse me...?" she called out carefully, loud enough to hopefully grab the cat's attention.

Blizzardwind heard her and he quickly swam to her. He stepped out of the water, his fur slicked back, showing his long, muscular build. "Hello miss. Sorry to scare you, I didn't see you there." He said, smiling at her.

Lola folded her ears back, both submission and in terror. His body left nothing to be imagined; he could kill her in an instant if he wanted. Especially if those rumors were true about the wild cats.

She took a breath and cleared her mind, "Do you know... i-if the wild cats are here?" she asked carefully, her voice quiet in submission.

Blizzardwind laughed and sat down. "Wild? We aren't very wild. Unless you count me sliding around the stone clearing like it was made of ice." He answered, his eyes playful. He didn't care to dry his fur, the water made it shine.

Lola looked down, her eyes gleaming in fear, but her heart filled with frustration. Were the rumors wrong? Was she fed lies?

Then she realized. He said "We."

She felt her paws itch. Her claws wanted to pin him down and force him to tell her where they stayed. Her mind knew she would be dead if she tried.

"O-oh, um, okay...," she started timidly. "C-c-could I Join you?!" she said suddenly, louder than required for her inquiry.

She folded her ears farther back, and made herself smaller. She screwed up. She was too forward, too loud. He would chase her off, or worse, kill her. She was too scared to move, any sudden movements might make her situation worse.
