Lucas sighed. He knew she was in there but she was ignoring him again. He went back to his mother.

I looked up as my son entered the room, pulling the mask of calmness back on my face before he caught sight of my worry. "Were you able to talk to her dear?"

Lucas shook his head. No she wouldn't open the door.

"Do you not remember? The women had even less freedom than they have today. She had to see me, but it did not work out well... Even if it was a mistake that caused me to see her, the girls defensiveness was too strong and she never let me get a word in!" The King laughed at these memories. His selection felt like someone else's story sometimes.

Rosaline smiled,"Thank you Sami... I do hope my conversation with him goes well. I can be quite oblivious to what I say sometimes."

This girl... Why had she even bothered to fill out a form for the selection? Why was she hurting Luke this way, "Well, maybe she wasn't in there or couldn't come to the door." I stated the hopeful option, "Or she isn't worth your time." I reached out to place my hand on his arm. "If she doesn't want to see you, then you have more time to spend on the girls who do. Girls who are already madly in love with the charming Prince Lucas." I teased my son lightly hoping that would help him through this

I laughed, "he seems to want absolute honesty thought. I mean, I wasn't very nice when I talked to him and I'm still here."
