of the human population. instead, once they get old enough to control their 'power',
they are shipped off to an island somewhere in the middle of the pacific ocean. her

atter the animal they become, there is sure to be a place in the island that they fav
or. there are even cabins for them to live in instead of sleeping outside like wild an

basically, one way or another, shapeshifters came into the universe. these shifters h
ave no memory of anything before the boat ride to the island other than small snipp
ets of their childhood. each shifter has a specific animal that they can shift into at
anytime they please with ease. no shifter is alike - they each have their own animal
that corresponds with their personality. island wise, as stated before, it is a rather
large piece of land found somewhere amidst the pacific ocean. it has many differen
t features; a long river that feeds into a lake, a waterfall, a sandy beach, a vast fo
rest, and even a meadow. there are several clusters of cabins that are found just w
ithin the forest beside the beach. there are cabins for sleeping (two people of the s
ame gender per cabin), a kitchen, bathroom, living area, and all other basic necess
ities. all is payed for by the government, so there is no worry of loosing anything.

xxxxmost people would sleep silently in their bed, all nice and snuggled up with their blankets. it was clearly evident that casper wasn't one of those people. instead, he was sprawled out over the bed, blankets on the floor, snoring like there was no tomorrow. he wore a baggy black t-shirt alongside grey sweatpants and grey socks- well, one sock. the other was no where to be in sight. one of his white, fluffy pillows was being tugged into his chest, holdinh it in a fashion similar to a death grip. the pillow was covered in the bear's slobber, to no one's surprise. it looked as if nothing could wake up the sleeping giant. now, this would be normal for the bear, but he just so happened to be teetering off of the edge of the bed. one, sockless foot hung lazily off the bed along with an arm that swayed from side to side. one wrong move and... thump! the boy went tumbling onto the cold, hard floor below and landed with a loud groan. a chilly hand flew lazily onto his forehead and a series of pain-filled moans escaped from his lips. it would be a miracle if his roommate wasn't awake.
xxxxafter rolling across the floor and wallowing in his shocked pain for who knows how long, casper finally decided it was time to man up and get off his sore butt. once he has risen, and a few more groans were emitted, he tidied up his bed (and got grossed out by his slobber covered pillow) before tip-toeing out of the door just in case dorian just so happened to still be asleep. he didn't bother putting on actual clothes; it wasn't like the rest of the shifters on the island hadn't seen a boy in his pjs. he closed the cabin door quietly, bounced down the steps of the porch, and began his trek through the forest clearing where all of the cabins where all the cabins rested. there were two lines of cabins; three on each side. one side was the girl's, and the other was the boy's. after the line of bedding cabins was another like of smaller cabins - bathrooms - which there were six of. in the very center of all of all of this were two gigantic cabins; one was a kitchen, and one was a sort of large living room mixed with a game room. casper, as usual, was heading for the kitchen.
xxxxthe bear seemed to glide up the stairs as a smile creeped onto his features. he opened the door and flicked on the lights as his tongue ran across his pink lips. one of his favorite activities was eating- which wasn't really a surprise considering his shift. he closed the door behind him before walking over to the fridge and grabbing a pack of bacon. his stomach was already rumbling for nourishment. he wrapped up the bacon in a paper towel, popped it in the microwave, and started it. he then leaned against the marble kitchen counter as he waited for the bacon to finish cooking, or, at least, someone else to join him.

Ava woke up in her sleeping panther position. She rubbed her eyes to only notice she was in panther form and she was rubbing her face with paws. She yawned and fell back to sleep for a while, then she woke up from a nightmare and roared.After that she was back in human form and she arose out of bed and hoped she didn't wake up her roommate. She stretched for quite a while and saw Kali still sleeping. She struggled to get up, but when she finally did she changed into other clothes which consisted of black leggings, a black bralet, an oversized black nike jacket, black running shoes and a black baseball hat. She put her hoodie over her hat and she walked out of the cabin.She stood at the door admiring how quiet the island was and started walking to the bathroom cabin. She opened the door and turned on the lights and looked at how busted she looked in the mirror. She laughed at how unruly her eyebrows were and just combed them though with her finger. She started to brush her teeth and then she took of her hoodie and hat and combed her hair. She combed her hair back to have a sleek look and she tucked her hair behind her ears. ❝ A well groomed panther is a pretty panther, oh wait i think its suppose to be a lion, ❞ she said laughing.

She has so much to say but with her nature she doesn't like showing her happy side, with other people she is more gloomy and quiet. She put on her hat and hoodie and turned off the lights. Then she walked out the door and went up to the kitchen.She walked up the stairs and to no surprise she found Casper already hogging up the works.She had a rough night and she didn't say anything as she passed him by and got some sausages and pancake mix. She started making her pancakes and heating up the sausages. She made some blueberry pancakes and regular pancakes. She saw Casper heating up bacon in the microwave while she finished up her pancakes. She had made more than she was going to eat so got an extra plate and left some on the counter next to casper without saying a word. She put her food on the table and got some syrup from the fridge. She started devouring her food without stopping. She stood up from her chair and went over to the coffee maker and made herself some coffee. Then she added milk and creamer and sat back down to finish her food.

maisie liked to sleep. a lot. and by a lot she meant she really liked sleeping but she also liked sleeping for very long periods of time. if she didn't get that "long period of time" oh boy would she be in a bad mood. sure nine hours of sleep is considered fine for some people, but that was too low of a number for the poor woman. nine hours of sleep is what she got, though, because some incessant bird kept making its stupid mating call right outside her window. boy if she found out it was somehow one of the other shifters who was doing that she would mount their head above her bed.

but she soon found herself wide awake inside her little burrito-blanket fort she created every night. she started off the night like any normal person but the time she woke she had three extra blankets piled around her until one couldn't tell where her body actually was under the pile. as much as she didn't want to move her bladder was very persuasive and a low groan left the woman's lips as she angrily mumbled to herself about why humans had to have annoying bladders before unearthing herself and leaving the cabin for the bathrooms. after she took care of her business she examined her bed-head in the mirror and made a face. "i've turned my hair into my nest," she mumbled before taking a brush and attempting to fix the mess.

maisie kind of gave up when her hair looked more presentable than it had been and with that she left the bathroom and blinked up at the morning sun. she wasn't hungry yet, she never was right after she woke up, so she decided she might as well just walk along the beach for a bit. as she made her way down to the soft sand and lightly crashing waves she took in the sights of the island. it really was a beautiful place and she felt kind of lucky that she got to be dumped on it; the serenity of the place surprisingly calmed her temper. when the dirt turned to sand the tiny woman stopped for a moment to let her free toes dig in. after a few seconds she lifted her feet and went down to the water's edge.

The hunter watched as the little tail bobbed amongst the flowers. Rabbits were so oblivious to their surroundings. The hunter was sure that this would be an easy catch. The hunter watched the fluffy white figure from a far, her own rowan tail lashing with impatience. But the hunter knew that she had to wait. The rabbit needed to be in a state of sub consciousness when the hunter attacked. Finally, the moment came. As the rabbit stared sleepily at the flowers, opening it's tiny mouth to chew, the hunter let out a low growl and pounced.

Alice woke up with the strange urge to chew her pillow. Finally, her surroundings cleared, and she realized that she was still in her cabin, Maisie snoring lightly above her. "Great," she whispered to herself, rolling her eyes. She would have to carry on this stupid act once again. It got boring after a while. Everyone looked to her as the optimist, and the sweet -and may I mention dumb- pretty little girl. If she voiced any of her real thoughts, they would all have a new impression of her. She pulled her messy bed-head behind her ear, not caring enough to brush it. Groaning with fatigue she lifted herself out of bed.

Alice stared at her own reflection in the mirror, and realized she didn't look very much like her true personality. She was too fair. Sighing, she dragged a comb through her tangled hair, wincing as it caught on a naught. After a very painful experience, she put her comb down gladly, and searched for her tooth brush. She fished out a plain blue one, pretty sure it was hers. She glopped toothpaste on it, not really caring if she was wasting it. Slowly, she brushed her teeth. After about two minutes she rinsed her mouth out, and got on some clothes.

She walked up the stairs to the fridge she shared with Maisie, and looked in it. "Will we ever have anything good to eat?" she whispered to herself. She grabbed a banana out of the fridge and peeled it, sticking half of it in her mouth. Se walked down the stairs and opened the cabin door, leading her outside. After walking for a bit, she found herself at the beach, the sun slowly rising over the mass of blue. At least some things were beautiful here. She sat down on the soft sand, and waited for nothing in particular. She didn't happen to notice Maisie by her.
