i hope it was okay to join although i've, admittedly, only watched one anime/manga in my entire life. since i'm trying to get into it more, i decided to post already, and because i have a few questions and i wasn't sure where else to post. so please bear with me because i'm not sure of all the terminology, what classes as an anime and what classes as a manga, and all the such. i'm a complete newbie to anime so, i repeat, please try and deal with me until i learn haha. so if i call something an anime and its actually called something else, i seriously don't mind you correcting me and i actually ask that you do if you know the correct term. the only anime i have ever partially watched was wolf's rain, but i was very young so i didn't really understand. i've heard a lot about animes and a lot of different opinions, so i thought i'd ask: what are some good ones that you guys really like that i should get into watching? i like kind of the darker stuff, to give you guys a leg to stand on when suggesting. i've seen a little of tokyo ghoul so i think i might start there, though. i also would say i like anime in games, so if you could suggest maybe some games people have played on youtube ? i know corpse party is a game people have suggested to me before. i've also seen a lot of amv's on youtube and i've always taken a liking to them - discovered amv's through hollywood undead haha, it seems their songs are kind of popular within amv's i'd say. i'm sorry in advance for all of the noob questions i'll be asking further '^' hopefully you guys can help me out haha

dark anime.. puella magi madoka magica is a good one. i really like it. a lot. elfen lied too maybe? there's a bit of nudity in that though but it's not very harmful. another may be to your liking too.

I got modded a few weeks ago in an anime chat room attached to a site and we were working on getting the servers changed around because someone attacked them. The site needs a major revamp as the site looks appalling and unsafe.

Anyone know what kind of site layout/colour scheme would look more attractive, safe [no viruses/malware] and get the site more trafficking to watch anime? -- what attracts you to a site to use to watch anime and what steers you away?

Light/ faded colors. But the thing that mostly attracts me if I know it is a legal site ( but if the anime isnt avalible legally then yeah faded colors man) Avoid neon colors,
