Blaze the kittypet watched carefully at what Patches did in order to pull the fish up onto the ground. He nodded and bent down, killing it with a swift bite to the gill. "Nice catch." he purred.

Blaze nodded. "You're welcome." he stared down at the water and sat there with his tail wrapped around his paws. He waited patiently for a fish or two to swim by so he could try to catch one. Finally one came. He already checked to see that his shadow didn't fall on the water and aimed. His shadow didn't fall but he sure did. Blaze fell into the freezing water and shivered. "Help me out!" he frowned unhappily.

As the tom was resting in the middle of the clearing, Thornstep caught the faint scent of blood. He perked his ears, nose wiggling, and quickly stood when he realized that the blood was strong and fresh. He looked around, gasping when he realized that Hollytail was sitting outside the nursery with blood soaked into her fur. He bolted over to the she-cat, his eyes wide and scared. "A-Are you okay?!"
