And what did I say about Scott being trigger-happy with releasing the games?
Oh, but noooooo, obviously it was the fans pressuring him into releasing it early it's not like he has a track record.

Good to see the trailer! Looks good. I kinda wish he'd actually take his time with games though. Like, everyone would be a lot happier with a far later release date and a much more complete game, but to each their own.

If someone cares to check back a few ten or so pages they'd see that I suggested the house idea as a joke.
Turns out I called it! :)

So I've been thinking about the teasers vs. the trailer just released (if you haven't seen it yet, go watch it before going any further.) And on their own the two don't seem to connect: the nightmare teasers suggesting the perpetrator of the Bite of '87, and the trailer featuring those nightmares haunting a house in an undisclosed location. On their own they don't make much sense.

But let's think of it like this: there could be a possibility that the house we're playing the game in is that of the victim of the Bite. There's absolutely no reason why someone who suffered trauma of that scale shouldn't have nightmares of the incident. The only detail that could potentially overthrow this theory is the lack of a frontal lobe.

As a person who has taken an anatomy class, I know that the frontal lobe of a person's brain is the primary center of motor function and control and memory. Someone with his/her frontal lobe removed would likely have a hard time moving and controlling his/her reflexes and likely wouldn't remember the incident. I know all of this, yes, but I've seen some amazing things happen to people who have had portions of their brains removed. My twin sister suffered a massive hemorrage shortly after birth and had to have over half her brain removed (though I can't remember which half). The doctors said she would either die or be a vegetable her entire life, and if not either one, she would never be able to speak, walk, see, or express emotions properly. Almost eighteen years later she can't see, that's true, but she can walk with assistance and speak (and make fart noises, which she finds hilarious), and she's pretty happy most of the time. She's doing everything professional doctors and brain surgeons said she wouldn't be able to do. Given that, I don't find it at all impossible that the victim of the Bite could still control his/her motor functions and remember the incident enough that he/she will have nightmares regarding the Bite. This, if true, could tie together the suggestions of the teasers and the mystery of the trailer.

Here's what I've considered: the Bite of '87 is instigated by one of the animatronics at the Fazbear Family Diner (if GameTheory is to be believed with their deduction that FNaF 2 takes place in 1987). The owner feels guilty about the incident and gifts the victim the Plushtrap found in the house. (If the minigames are to be believed, Springtrap has likely been around as long as Freddy Fazbear himself, possibly even longer, although he's been decommissioned for over thirty years.) This toy, over the course of the years after the incident, continues to evoke nightmares in the victim to the point that they've lost all rationality and become something else to be feared entirely.

I'm not sure exactly how much evidence there could be to prove this, but hey, it's just a theory. No need to go dissecting it to pieces without giving any of it any sort of consideration at all. It's just what I think to be likely. I'm not saying that's what's actually going on.
”And if they ever hear my name, will they know I walked alone

Around these dusty streets, my tired old home?

And will they ever stop to think what was here before? no

They won't remember that I'm gone"
