Do you think in order to really treasure your friend and express that through art that you have to draw it yourself?

um Hi guys, I'm sort of new to the community, I've tried out for plumies in the past, but I've never really been involved as I didn't have any plumies ;v; That being said, I just got my first plumerian, Callisto, and I'm tentatively seeking future mates for her qvq
I'm also seeking rp's as I'd like to develop her more, as she's quite a large wip
Just a warning; but I will be super picky

/loves stars + the universe / seems really tough but can be a big softie / very adventurous / very skilled in combat

She's sort of a "normal plumie" during the day but a part-time assasin at night. She likes to act like the laid-back genius, but when the time comes, she can kick butt. She spends her daytime hours as an astrophysicist and nighttime as an investigator and consulting detective for the supernatural.(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

I’d rather draw it myself, I see ordering art and them giving it to them is akward, they could’ve ordered it themselves. I see drawing it yourself more ’treasurable’.

@lady sif- I think that ordering art can be just as meaningful as drawing it yourself for a friend. It's great to see that you put time and effort into a piece, but spending your own earned money means a lot as well

i think that art ordered for a friend is just the same as drawing it yourself in meaningfulness. some people aren't confident in their art abilities or don't have time, but still want to get their friend some art. so i really don't think that ordered art is heartless, i think it carries the same meaning as art that you would draw for your friend.

I strongly agree with immask1 on this one. but i'll still make my own points as well.
I think it is very meaningful. people will take the time and payment out just to order art for their friend. some people might just not be as confident in their art and/or stress about it not coming out as they wanted. and a sure thing no true friend would want their own friend to have to go through countless hours of stress and worry about if their's isn't good enough. i think it is quite meaningful to just order art and to give even the slightest though to your friend's happiness.
