Am I the only one surprised that it's a full sized image instead of a thin vertical banner? Because I was surprised [that's almost laughably inefficient, coming from someone who's in the creative design and interactive media schooling pathway]. You can just center a vertical banner and not have more clutter on your site that clogs up peoples' bandwidth.

You can just center a vertical banner and not have more clutter on your site that clogs up peoples' bandwidth.

Actually, if you brighten it up you can see two tall doorways on each side. Which may be there to signify a different surrounding than the first three games, many have assumed the fourth to be set in a house, with the update of this new teaser. So it's not that cluttered if you look at it that way.

I think we shouldn't assume anything at this point, setting in a teaser or no setting in a teaser- you know what they say:
"Assume makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me"."
Maybe the fourth will have mini-animatronics [like, i rue to admit, the mini animatronic billy bob marketed for a short while. I s2g if anyone craps on it and calls it "omg rl fnaf" is will lose it.] and they lose their crap in consumers houses?

Unlikely, but that's what I can draw from the tiny springtrap and the [seemingly] house setting.

You're welcome! Yeah, I'm not able to brighten images either, but I just saw one theory video where somebody brightened it.

I know about not assuming anything up to this point. I'm actually not making any theories at all. Because, frankly, the teasers give me nothing to theorize about. Don't know where everybody else seems to be getting these theories, though some almost sound like they're just throwing out random guesses at this point. Which is why I've stopped watching theory vids and reading other people's theories. Based on the fourth game, at least.

I personally think the baby Springtrap in the teaser is meant to signify a loss of innocence. FNaF seems to be all about that. Also, it should be noted, that somebody diciphered the coding in the website to spell out "Plushtrap", which leads me to believe that it is a plushie version of Springtrap. Maybe further proving that back in Fredbear's Diner it was only Spring Bonnie and Spring Freddy/Fredbear. This would be the only real answer to why somebody would make a plush version of a discontinued animatronic.

I've never personally played the FNAF games (they keep me from sleeping at night) but I love investigating the lore.

But I just have a few questions that I still don't understand...

1) How was it leaked that the animatronics in the pizzaria and family diner from the first and second games attack the night staff, thus leading to the creation of Fazbear's Fright, which was created in an attempt to keep the Fazbear memory alive based on the murderous rumors that surrounded the restaurants?
2) Why do the animatronics continue to attack the night staff?
(Yes, I know about the whole "they don't recognize you as human after hours" thing, but that doesn't explain incidents such as the Bite of '87 (and presumably many others gone unreported or unmentioned).)
3) Was Purple Guy's corpse ever found, and if it was what happened to it?
(Obviously it wasn't taken in for DNA testing, because the police could have solved (or at least made an assumption of) the cases of the missing children right then and there if it had.)
4) Why in the world would the creators of Fazbear's Fright leave a single night guard alone in a ramshackle, pathetic attempt at a horror house with an animatronic that was rumored to be potentially murderous even though he'd been decommissioned for over thirty years?

So many unexplained mysteries in this game...

I know the second one sounds a bit stupid, but I somehow find it relevant to know. I've looked at all the rumors, and so far only the ones that claim that the original FNAF cast are haunted by the spirits of the children seems to have any potential evidence to support it.

I suppose we won't really know until Scott comes out of his abyss and says something.

I haven't talked about FNaF in a long time this'll be fun!
1. The attacks were only ever rumored, I don't think that they were ever confirmed.
2. They are most likely haunted, but they still mostly attack at night since I don't think they're nevessarily hostile, just confused. They are a bit limited to their programming so they lately attack at night. No one knows how the Bite happened, so the human that got hurt must have been doing something that confused or scared them.
3. No, his corpse is inside of Springtrap and no one really noticed it was there.
4. Again, the thing about the haunted animatronics were just rumors to them, the creators probably didn't think they were real
