Batpaw stiffened to keep from screeching at himself when he heard Snailpaw's sorry. So, his knowledge of herbs had increased. But even with those bat-like ears he still couldn't tell the difference between a joke and not. Sighing softly, he unintentionally rolled his filmy turquoise eyes, making a very disturbing spectacle. "I don't know how you stand me Snailpaw," he mewed to himself, although slightly louder than he intended. The ebony apprentice felt like a fool, but he caught himself before he began sulking. Moodiness wasn't something he could afford as a medicine cat. He had to do better. Besides, she didn't seem too upset. "Little brown beetles..." he muttered that to himself, almost as a mental note. That was an intruging note. "A chilling challenge, most definitely. It'll definitely help," Batpaw said confidently, offering her a smile. A real one. He was surprised she'd actually said yes; after all, she was an apprentice to a warrior. She didn't have to do this, but she was. And the blind tom was grateful. Turning, he began to pad towards the border, shaking his head as moss gave out and dropped about a gallon of water down his pelt. "As if I was saturated enough," the tall tom mewed, shaking his head.
