Genesis, a forest dwelling anti-clan that doesn't want-and fortunately doesn't have–anything to do with the real clans. Here, the cats that are part of Genesis believe in The Origin, the spirits of their ancestors. They are at peace with each other, and they thrive in their forest homes. No one knows for sure, but a few think the good days have lasted much too long, and that someday soon, they'll come to an unfortunate end.

Personality: Laliah is a strong and determined cat, if it's worth it, she won't give up. She is completely loyal to Genesis and would never break the code-unless is was absolutely necessary. To Laliah, the cats of Genesis are more precious than any code, and even if it displeased The Origin, she will do what has to be done to protect those she cares for. But Laliah is also stubborn, and has never experienced love. The hard shell covering her heart will indeed be hard to break, and her stubbornness just makes it worse. Although she has a small capability to love, she is kind and considerate, and most of Genesis deem her a worthy Leader. Justice is her thing, and she never leaves a crime unpunished.

History: The hardness covering Laliah's heart is a mystery to most, only The Origin being able to see the truth. The dark grey she-cat is not the founder of Genesis, but she was the one who changed it; Although, she's not sure whether it made things better, or worse. Laliah struck down Genesis's past Leader, Blair, and her cruel Second after being used by them for moons. The cats of Genesis cowered in fear at the sight of the cruel cats, never disobeying in fear of punishment. Blair was a smart cat, and she knew that at some point, the cats of Genesis would be able to cope with physical pain, so she aimed for their kin, those they cared for. Blair was Laliah's only known kin, and she wasn't treated poorly. Blair respected and loved her sister, but Laliah couldn't take seeing the other cats in such pain. So she ended it. The day Blair reached 15 moons, Laliah had gathered the courage to defend her clan, murdering her sister and her Second to protect the cats of Genesis. Laliah had to close off her heart to do that, otherwise killing the only kin she had would tear her apart. The cats of Genesis turned to Laliah to be their Leader, and now they are all healthy and strong, but Laliah is still, to this day, unreachable.

Rules of Genesis
-->The Leader's word is law, and it must be followed. This goes with the Healer and Second too, but the Leader always holds the most authority.

-->You may have friends outside of Genesis, but your loyalty must always remain with Genesis.

-->Elders, Mothers, and Kittens, must be fed first, there are no exceptions.

-->A Learner is not allowed to eat until having hunted and fed the Elders, unless given permission by their Teacher or Leader.

-->All rituals must be respected, and all required cats must attend, unless stated otherwise by the Leader of Genesis.


The Healers' Rules
-->Healers may never have a mate or kits, to keep the whole clan at an even.

-->Healer Learners must recite their knowledge to both the Healer and the Leader before becoming a full Healer, and if not approved by both, will not become a Healer for at least another moon.

-->If a single Healer dies, the Healer Learner must become the full Healer before moonhigh the same day, and if not done before moonhigh, must go through a cleansing ritual before becoming Healer the next day.

The Cats of Genesis

Leader: The cat who leads the Genesis, is respected above all other ranks, and holds the most authority. The leader has nine lives, bestowed upon them by The Origin, rather than one. The Leader may not retire, and must hold their position until death.

Second: The Second is chosen by the Leader before moonhigh after the death or retirement of the last Second, or after a Second becomes a Leader, and has the third most important rank and authority. The Second will travel to the Pool of Secrets to receive their nine lives from The Origin and become Leader after the death of the last Leader. The Second may retire, becoming an Elder, with the permission of the Healer and Leader.

Genesis Territory
Genesis has a large amount of territory, starting with their camp–a small clearing of short grass and tiny clovers, a high-stone for meetings and ceremonies, and and entrance called the bramble fence–in the middle of an oak forest. Behind the camp there is a small amount of forest, that soon transforms into a small field covered in hills; a good place to hunt rabbits. Beyond the field is a small mountain with a narrow path winding up the sides, the one that Genesis cats follow to speak to The Origin, their ancestors. Where they meet The Origin is called the Pool of Secrets, where they must place a single oak leaf in the water, then drink from the pool, to dream. It usually takes about two days to reach the pool by foot. When a cat dies, they are taken to the Pool of Secrets by their kin, and buried under the small waterfall as their final resting place. To the front of the camp is a small river, large enough for small fish, but not for any larger prey. There is a row of stepping stones in a shallow part of the river, where the cats can cross. Beside the river is a small dip in the ground, used for battle training. It is simply called the training hollow.The rest of Genesis territory is oak forest, the scent markers coming to a stop at the thunderpath, where the monsters are and the twolegs live. The cats of Genesis steer clear of this place, but there are a few Loners who live here, and a lot of Kittypets.

Genesis Rituals
The cats of Genesis do not speak during rituals, as it is considered bad luck, and disrespectful to their ancestors. Rituals are also very personal, and usually only the cats involved attend. A ritual must be performed in the cave beside the Pool of Secrets, so The Origin may hear and approve of what is said.

Learner Ritual-Performed when a cat becomes a Learner:
The Leader, Learner to-be, and chosen Teacher, head up the mountain to the Pool of Secrets. The Learner to-be and the chosen Teacher must sit facing away from the pool, towards their Leader, with the ends of their tails in the water. The Leader will lick the Learner to-be's face, from nose to the top of their head, then do the same to the chosen Teacher. Both cats must then bow, lifting their tails from the water and placing each on the others back(The Teacher's tail on the Learner's back and vice versa). The three cats must sleep beside the pool, then start the journey home as soon as the sun begins to rise. The new Learner must lead the way home, and they may receive minor punishment if they get lost.

Warrior Ritual-Performed when a cat becomes a Warrior:
The Leader, Warrior to-be, and Teacher, head up the mountain to the Pool of Secrets. The Warrior to-be and the Teacher must sit facing away from the pool, towards their Leader, with the ends of their tails in the water. The Leader will lick the Warrior to-be's ears, from the base to the tip on both, then do the same to the chosen Teacher. Both cats must then bow, lifting their tails from the water and placing each on the others back(The former Teacher's tail on the Warrior's back and vice versa). The Leader and former Teacher must sleep beside the pool, while the new Warrior keeps watch the whole night. If the Warrior falls asleep, they may receive minor punishment. As soon as the sun rises, the cats must start their journey home, and the new Warrior has the whole day off upon their arrival.

Ansel is a shy cat, just barely into her adulthood. She doesn't talk much and tends to stay in her den, organizing. Due to her tail being bobbed, she tends to be clumsy and disoriented at times.
History:
Two weeks after being born she was separated from her mother and brothers. She was given to two twolegs, After four weeks of staying with them, she was shoved into a trash bag and thrown to the side of the road. After this she wondered around the forest until coming across a fox den, which is how she lost her tail. After being attacked by a fox she was taken in by the tribe(?) after lying about her true origin.
