He sighed. "I'll try... But no promises." Nick wiggled a finger at her. "I'm just glad you didn't freak when I did it. Most people do." He told her, remembering just how many people he scared off trying to make friends. He was always told by his mother, Angel, that friends weren't worth the trouble, but he felt differently.

Zachariah raised an elegant eyebrow. Popping the cork off a bottle of mead with his teeth, he said, "Well, I don't suppose you would mind completing a favor for me, would you?" It would be more than a simple favor to him, really, if the Orc decided to take him up on his offer. By Oblivion, he might even reward her with some of the Guild's coin himself!
What he wanted done, was he wanted Laverna to be taught a lesson about how to not stray from the reaches of the Guild. Of course, he could always hire bandit thugs for that, but they tended to be ... cruel, for lack of a better word, and often murderous when asked to do their job. No, he didn't want the Nightingale badly hurt -- perhaps just enough hurt to shake her up a little, and remind her of her duties.

Runa smiled up him gratefully before turning her gaze to the path ahead "Well most people probably freak out because they've never known a necromancer" she quietly said after a brief moment of hesitation, a rush of memories and emotions came over her as she struggled to hold back tears.

"Wait, there are other people here that can do this?" Nicholas glanced at her. He immediately clammed up once he saw she was fighting tears. He just kept quiet, knowing he must have said something wrong.

Runa nodded slowly "There are plenty" she said quietly, avoiding the necromancer's gaze. After a moment of silence she slowly looked at him, noticing what seemed to be a look of guilt. "It wasn't anything you said, just...my older brother practiced necromancy" she stated in a quiet voice turning her eyes to the ground.

"Oh... Necromancy is largely frowned upon here, isn't it...?" Nicholas knew he was out-of-place here in Skyrim, but he had never stopped to consider exactly how much he was out-of-place. What was he supposed to tell her, though? That his father was literally Death and that he had been conjuring the undead for as long as he could remember? No. Nick would keep that quiet for now. She didn't need another reason to dislike him.

Runa, again, nodded in response but otherwise remained silent. She kept her eyes ahead, though occasionally glancing at either sounds from their surroundings or to the man beside her, especially at his eyes.

After a very long and tiring walk, the city was beginning to come into view. Dragonsreach towered over the landscape, and Nicholas gave an impressed whistle. "I've never been to Whiterun. This is my first time. Though if what I hear is true, then Markarth is much more impressive."

Runa took in the view, no matter how many times she sees it it never ceases to impress her. She shrugged at his statement about Markarth "Yeah but the looks are the only thing pleasant about that city" she said in a disgusted tone. Runa trudged down the road getting ever closer to the city. She hated to admit it but once they had gotten within sight of Whiterun, all she cared about was getting there with or without Nick. She was exhausted, she had barely slept the night before but Bannered Mare was close, which meant a warm bed was not far out of her reach.

Burrows-In-Sand shook her head. "No thank you. I had a bite to eat earlier today," she responded. The truth was, she didn't really eat much. She exercised and then exercised some more, but didn't eat very often in an attempt to burn off calories.

Zachariah smiled and said nothing, but ordered a sweet roll from the bartender. He was a vampire, so he didn't exactly need to eat food like this, but it was pleasant to do so, when he did. Taking a quick bite from the sweetish food, he said, "What kind of jobs do you carry out?"

Jellal tilted his head slightly. He was smart, smarter then most people. He could tell she didn't eat too much. He offered her a small, kind and warm smile before grinning more. "But I have lots of things that are yummy." He repled happily.
