To help organize things a bit better, you can post your horses for sale, lease, and breeding here, along with any extra stipulations and such so that you can find good homes for your horses <3
A few new things...
Firstly, there are going to be two different types of straightforward sales: FCFS and best home. Essentially, if you just want to make a quick buck off of whatever horse you want to get rid of, FCFS would be the sale type for you. You can still say no to the person, of course, but that way other people will know that it would be pointless to offer on the horse after it has been offered on. Best home sales must last at least 24 hours in order to allow interested users to attempt to purchase the horse. It is encouraged for these sales that interested users explain why they would like the horse in order to better find an appropriate home. You may offer stipulations in best home sales in hopes of finding the best owner; for FCFS sales, the buyer cannot be prevented from purchasing the horse for any reason, even if they deliberately state that they are going to go against your requests.
Secondly, you can now run an auction with your horse. However, the auction may not be run here; you can only post an advertisement about it, and you may not promote an auction barn. Posts must be directly related to horses ^^
Thirdly, I'd like to encourage "best offer" type sales. These aren't quite auctions, but rather sales that are open to offers rather than simply having a set value. This is a good option for users who are looking to sell a horse and don't know what to price it at or are simply trying to find their horse a good home without having to worry about pricing. Please note that you aren't required to accept anyone's offer; if you don't like the offer, that's perfectly fine. ^^
I'm also going to list horses offered for stud here -- because mares don't quite work the same way in real life, we'll keep the list to stallions only. If a user is seeking a mare to use in a breeding, we'll put that under the "Wanted" section and the owner of the mare can contact that user personally c: Additionally, the owner of a stud may specify whether breedings must be pre-approved or not; if they are, the user will require a permission quote for the stallion when posting a breeding, but if not, then linking to the stud post will be sufficient.
And just a few rules:
1. Please don't discuss anything on here, guys. ^^ It's not fair to a user to post a horse with the hopes that it will be purchased and then have them have their horse ignored while others chat about other horses. PMing them any questions would be much better c: Additionally, please PM me if someone has broken a rule rather than posting to let them know -- that way, we can keep the thread nice and clean and I can simply PM them and move on with it <3
2. Only one post per horse until a full page has passed. Not per barn -- but you may not quote a post regarding the sale of that horse in order to bring more attention to the horse. Once you've posted a new post (again, please don't leave the quote formatting around it) please strike through the horse's old post and write that the information has been moved to a new post.
3. If you are selling multiple horses, please keep them all on the same post. Once some have been sold, you may strike through their forms and not include them on future posts, but it's not fair to be selling three or four horses and use an individual post for each one.
4. Please strike through your horse's form once it has been sold. That way, if one horse happens to be up for sale for a long while, users won't have to worry that perhaps the horse has already been sold.
5. All interested users are to reply directly to the seller rather than on here.
To post a horse for sale, lease, or stud, just be sure to include the name of the horse, the breed, the gender, a link to the horse's RVEC page, the sale/stud type, and a price (best offer/PM if interested ads don't need one either). Pictures aren't necessary and actually shouldn't be included so that we don't clutter the thread ^^ If you have any stipulations, go ahead and post them, but remember that FCFS sales have no weight behind those. I'll also allow you to post stipulations for a non-pre-approved stud, such as it being to horses of the same breed only or to horses with all stats above X-number, but anything that can't be directly checked must have a permission quote c:
To post a wanted ad, simply state what you're looking for in a horse, the price range you'd be willing to pay (if there is one), and whether you're looking for a sale, lease, or stud horse ^^ Remember -- you've got to strike through this as well once you've gotten what you're looking for!
Thanks for stopping by <3
