Yesterday when the last bark newborn turned into the charcoal pup, I got super confused because this pup hadn't appeared anywhere. Luckily a quick message to Tess gave us a solution. It's a little weird, I know, but better than missing out on the outcome, right?

The pup looks tropical to me so maybe it's a Pacific Madrone?

Yes! the new pup is based on a Madrone tree!

Sweat Bee My other favorite bee species. I may have to hard this and the blue banded should we get one

Sweat bees are great! But the term actually refers to a huge class of bees that are attracted to the salt in sweat and tears. There are many kinds of sweat bees int he world (and all of them are gorgeous)

This particular Beewolf was based on a type of Orchid bee, Euglossa bazinga, named after a character's catchphrase in the Big Bang Theory. I've seen a couple different reasons for this name, but my favorite is that it was named to bring popularity and awareness to its plight: threatened by habitat loss.

My guess is that it is Eucalyptus crucis.

Whew , thought I'd missed it ,then checked my trade group for duplicates and one of them had changed
