Harper sat the glass down and walked over to Damon. She crouched down beside him. "Because you're important to me. And I don't want the people who are important to me to be hurt, sick, or especially dead." She explained truthfully in a quiet tone.

Damon watched as she crouched beside him. His eyes narrowed as he looked st her "How am I important?" He asked as he gave her a suspicious look.

Harper simply smiled. "I always have fun when I'm with you. You make me feel relaxed. I trust you. And I don't feel as scared about everything when I'm with you either." She paused for a couple seconds. "Not a lot of people have made me feel like that Damon. So I know you're important to me, and you mean a lot to me." She added.

Damon huffed as he listened to her explanation. "You shouldn't trust me." She stated, slowly rising up from the ground with a slight huff of pain, but all emotions were hid from his face and eyes.
