Nicholas chuckled lightly at the thief's sudden shyness. "Go on, then. I'm not stopping you." He was genuinely interested in what she had to say. This was actually the best conversation he had been in since he'd arrived in Skyrim. Nick wasn't tripping over his sentences, trying to correct something that may have offended the other person, like he normally did. At least, he wasn't yet.

Runa slowly returned her gaze to meet his "I think they're...pretty" she said quietly. She could feel her face heating up before she even finished her statement, now it felt even warmer, and her blush was obviously noticeable with her pale skin.

"Is that so?" He asked, smirking kindly. She didn't hardly look threatening at all now, especially bearing a blush like that. "Well thank you, most people find them unnerving. Yours are rather pretty as well, I'll admit. Your hair is very eye-catching, though.

She looked at him a bit surprised "I-I...thank you" she said with a smile, not only was she blushing, but now she sounded like a stuttering fool. She shook her head slightly at her own girlishness, looking down a bit trying to hide her red face. She wasn't used to compliments seeing how her face was usually concealed in public.

"So tell me," Nick said kindly, leaning his shoulder against the tree and turning to where he faced Runa. "You're a skill thief, obviously, and so you've probably got yourself a rather colorful reputation. So why take that mask of yours off to where everyone can see your face?"

She shrugged, feeling her face begin to cool down "I don't normally take it off in public, but considering you caught me, and there aren't exactly a lot of people everywhere in Falkreath like in some of the larger cities, plus I haven't really developed much of a reputation here yet anyway, so I didn't see any harm in taking it off for a while" she said casually.

Nicholas raised an eyebrow at this. "Oookay then, it's your funeral if you get caught." He immediately realized how rude that was and regretted saying it immemsely. "I mean, not that you would- Like, you seem pretty skilled- Er, y-you'll do fine, I guess-" He stuttered, tripping over his words and trying to take back what he said. He'd finally done it. Why couldn't he have a normal conversation without doofing it all up? He wasn't even sure if that was offensive. Nick felt his own face growing hot with embarressment as he continued trying to apoligize.

Runa laughed, well more like giggled at his sudden awkwardness. She gently placed her hand on his shoulder "It's fine, I know what you mean" she said with a small smile.
