@arrow, huh, on my screen everything is pretty much as tightly packed as possible. the only thing i have coded to the right is the black skull and the song lyrics, so i can move that over to the left, and i can add a w to the end of each line to take away some white space. thank you!!

12000th post guys

Postby spiff » Fri Jul 10, 2015 2:25 pm

this is a little late... i changed my username over a year ago lmao

i want to change my name!
      old username: sak
      new username: spiff
      stalker number: 8

      #nameform
@doubt i like the simplicity of it, but maybe you could add another
white border between the paragraph and the skull thing w/ lyrics? it
would get rid of the gap there.
nvm it looks like your screen is small-
er than mine lol

what is the hardest part of coding for you?
probably figuring out where/how to arrange the text. i like to split
the writing into two parts, the basics and a description, and someti-
mes i struggle with figuring out a new way to arrange them. i also
find it hard to integrate lyrics so they don't look out of place, but i
think i've gotten better about that recently. some of my old forms
are actually so bad in that aspect?? (i'm thinking about this one smh)

@belle noire it's against cs rules to have more than one photo in your post. your form could get taken down. here's all the image rules.

i actually remember when that rule was put into place. it's cause people had like 8 photos per form lol. i could probably go find some if i went back in my posts far enough.

ahh sorry i should have clarified on that a bit >.< it's for a shifter-type roleplay,
where one image can be used for the human form, and one can be used for the animal.

@bella noire i'd be willing to make a layout for you if you talk with me
a little on what the character is like~~ i have a little more experience
with that kind of thing i guess, and i totally don't mind if you're willing
      to accept my help! c:

crash, yaass wow i can't believe how much that softened up the entire look of the post! maybe if you're feeling daring, do the same for the top right "crash's storage no stealing" with a lighter pink? and also do the same for the reds of the "humor" text and little dotty box things by making the dotty boxes lighter? two toning colors like that just adds so much extra dimension i think lol but nah dude its totally bomb nonetheless.

    i have two questions!

as lit. rpers, we all know one of the biggest struggles- roleplays that die before they start. so,
    Code: Select all
what makes for a successful roleplay? what motivates you to actually start planning?

for me, i love roleplays with open ended plots. i'll only roleplay if i develop attachments to my character, and that only happens when i really, really get into relation discussions. with opener roleplays, i think that's a lot easier to do than with pre-set relationships. not that i want a bland, overused plot, though. nothing against werewolves or teen wolf, but there are seriously 5 shifter rps per page. just something that gets my creative juices flowing and allows room for my lame ideas c:

also this is a dumb question but i'm really curious. :o

    Code: Select all
who/what caused you to discover and take an interest in coding? or roleplaying, for that matter.

i saw one of carrie dee's old roleplays from back in the day and was like omg. how.
i just remember it so well- all the old disney and shadowhunter roleplays.
i guess i saw her coding and discovered an entire community.
back then i was also on gaia, but their coding consisted more of paying people to make these uber expensive graphics for each post layout lol no thnx

what makes for a successful roleplay? what motivates you to actually start planning?
honestly, for me it has to be a unique plot. there are wayy too many supernatural type
of roleplays out there so i don't usually take interest unless the plot is something i already
haven't thought of. most of the time, i join the fictional roleplays instead of the realistic
ones but if there's a realistic roleplay with an exceptional plot, then ofc i have to join cx

who/what caused you to discover and take an interest in coding? or roleplaying, for
            that matter.

honestly, i don't really remember but as soon as i discovered it, i really enjoyed being here
on this forum. it was more fun to roleplay more than one liners and to code as well. i think
i got inspired by thorne and shay cause they were the first ones that caught my eye with
their pretty coding on one of the roleplays i don't remember. cx
