Juniperfur winced as she noticed Sandclaw taking a liking for Splash. What about his kits...? "Sandclaw, are you excited to see your kits when we arrive home?" her tone was questioning.

Sandclaw blinked. It seemed as if Juniperfur was questioning him. He felt like she thought of him as unloyal toward Hollytail and his kits. Sandclaw felt extremely hurt. He nodded his head slightly and tried hard not to look at Splash anymore.

Owlkit tilted his head. "A kit going out of camp? I'm almost an apprentice... can I go with Falcon?" he asked quickly. There was no time to waste.
