Shadowpelt sat still and watched for many hours as cats came and went she had finally worked out who was who roughly and being a little daring slowly started to creep out of her hiding place into the clearing where the other cats could see and smell her. Praying to the stars above that these cats would welcome her.

"I'm good, Snailpaw!" Bellkit replied enthusiastically, her tail twitching. "Jus' a little sleepy."

Shadowpelt stiffened at the sound of voices but pushed herself forward making her way to where she last saw the grey pelted female, who she assumed was the leader.

Venomclaw bared his teeth at the new cat, "Who are you?" he hissed.

Shadowclaw almost turns and runs right back the way she came, but her mothers parting words came back to her. With much effort she calmed her nerves and forced as much of her fur to lay flat again as she could before she answered. "My name is Shadowpelt. I grew up many fields from here. I came looking for the wild forest cats so I could join them. It's always been my dream." She said almost forgetting to breathe. Her words came out faster than she wanted them too and she hoped this tom here understood all she had said.

Venomclaw studied her, "Ravenstar is hurt right now, you can talk to her, but be brief."

Eyeing this cat before her she puffed up her chest and walked up to him before looking at him once over and continuing on her way to where she saw this Ravenstar. She nosed her way into the shelter where she found the female cat resting and looked expectantly down at her for a moment before she laid down in front of Ravenstar to talk to her on even ground. "Hello, Ravenstar is it? My name is Shadowpelt. I've come from far away in search of you and your cats I believe. I would like to join you and yours." Shadowpelt said as calmly and slowly as she could manage all the while shaking like a leaf on the inside.

Venomclaw looked to Ravenstar, "Have you told the clan about the limit on patrols yet?"

"No, I've not been able to. (Sorry for the late response.)

Ravenstar looked at the she cat. "You say you've been looking for us..? What has prompted you?"

[Sandviper]

Sandviper sat outside the Warrior's Den and groomed her gingery fur. She stopped as she noticed a strange scent. She looked up and saw a cat she thought was scared out of her wits walking towards the Medicine Cat den. Sandviper's eyes narrowed. Why was she going to see Ravenstar? She wondered. She shook her head and noticed another cat walking over to her.
