John fiddled with his journal grimacing at the papers that held drafts upon drafts of scrapped poems. Sighing he checked his phone realizing a missed call from Camrie. Quickly picking the phone up he pressed her contact name and waited for the ring. Almost pushing his books off his bed in the process, smiling and waiting for a response.

Leaning against the railing on his porch Erick sighed.The night,like every other night, so far had been dull and uneventfull.The neighborhood for the most part was quiet.A rare occurrence that he didn't take for granted.Slipping a cigarette out of his pocket he put it to his lips and lit it.The taste on his tounge was bitter and made him want to gag but the feeling he got from the nicotine was worth the ashy chemical taste bathing itself in his mouth.He wasn't proud of the habit but with his step-dads breathing down his neck and his latest hook-up,Leah,spending his cash like she breathed air he needed an escape.An escape easily found through the Habit he wished he had never picked up.Grunting softly to himself he shook his head as if to clear his thoughts when the all to familiar sound of arguing drifted across the street.
Narrowing his eyes as he watched an all to flustered Kay emerge from the house he huffed Looks like plastic barbie didn't have her way...One point for team Sydney.He thought faintly to himself dipping his head in acknowledgement as he locked eyes with Sydney's father.Taking out his phone he typed a quick message

I don't think I've ever seen a barbie doll look so red and PO'd before.
You okay?I'm coming over anyway so I'll find out either way.

Hitting send Ross shoved the phone in the pocket of his black hoodie before slowly walking down the steps of his porch and making his way across the street.Circling around the house he hoped the fence and slipped through the sliding glass doors,sence her dad had locked the front.

She heard her phone beep and smiled as she saw what Erik had said, she got up and wiped her eyes walking down the hall to her brothers room "Hey mate time you went to bed" She said as she heard the glass doors open "What? Its way to early! Kay lets me stay up to at least 9" Marcus complained "Well to bad because I'm in charge" Sydney raised an eye-brow, Marcus poked his tongue out while moving away his lego to get into bed, "You stink" "And you smell" Sydney turned off the light and blew him a kiss from across the room "Night bud" She whispered before hurrying down the stairs to see Erik "I hate her so much Ross" she complained, her eyes still red

He said though it was more of a confirmation then a question.Taking a small breath he turned and walked to the kitchen turning towards the fridge and pulling open the freezer door ."Yeah well apparently hell did to.That's why they sent her up here."he pointed out as if it was a meer fact of life rather then a joke.Rifeling through the freezer for a moment he cleared his throat before producing two frozen ninja turtle Popsicles that were originally her brother.He knew that of course but at the moment he cared more about making her feel better then her brothers reaction to them stealing his frozen treats .Handing one to her he shut the freezer with his foot before hoping up and sitting on the counter. "So what did she do now?" He asked softly as he worked on opening the turtle covered plastic packaging
