Silverstream nodded, then backed away from the den. They look as if they need some time to discuss things . . . The young warrior gazed around the clearing, her clan mates expressions had shown that the news about the fight had spread. Two apprentices had their heads close together, mewing in a low and urgent tone. Gossip spreads like wild fire here! She thought to herself.

Venomclaw looked at her, mildly alarmed, "I- Uh- What?" he stuttered,

"Oh, foxdung. I probably shouldn't have said that." She said with a light chuckle.

Antlerclaw couldn't help but overhear, and his ears swiveled back. But he couldn't help but agree. Venomclaw would be a suitable deputy. He gripped one of the voles he caught and carried it towards the medicine cat's den, standing just at the entrance. He'd heard she was injured, but she didn't think it was that bad. he nearly dropped the vole, but managed to snap out of it.
"To help," he muffled through its fur, setting it down near Venomclaw to give to her when she was ready. After all, he expected she would only take it from him. He glanced at the silver molly beside him and flicked his ears. "This rogue is getting away with too much. First our prey, now our leader."

Venomclaw smiled, "I think you just need some rest." he said, then turned to Antlerclaw, "Thank you," he said with a nod.

"Heh." She replied, slightly hurt. "I'll just, uh, take a nap." She said quietly.

Venomclaw laid next to her, "I'll stay here," he said, wrapping his tail around her a little, "If that's alright," he added softly.
