Vinekit sat down and curled his fluffy kit tail over with mitts. "I know," he mewed. "But I really want to be a medicine cat." And besides, he thought to himself, What she-cat would ever like me in the first place?

She sighed and nodded "Alright. But I'm telling you, one day you will find a girl and then not be able to be with her. If that is your choice, amazing. I don't want to discourage you, I just really want you to make sure that you know."

Vinekit nodded. "I know what I'm stepping into," he promised.

She nodded "Good. You'd have to ask Rainstar about it, but I could maybe help with training."

Vinekit purred happily. "Alright," he mewed, interrupted by a large yawn.

She purred "Maybe after a nap? You look tired."

"Nah, I'm...fine...." Vinekit yawned again and his eyes grew droopy.

She curled around him and hummed a soft lullaby.

Coalkit)

He fell asleep when he heard the lullaby that Bluefeather used to sing to him. He felt like he had heard it from someone else too, but he couldn't figure out who.

Vinekit let out a tiny yawn and feel asleep, his head resting on Bluefeather's belly.
