"Well good morning to you." Her head whipped to the side to take in the almost signature look up boredom upon Takashi's face. It drove her crazy the way it seemed he didn't have a care in the world, with his half-lidded eyes and laid back attitude. But even now, she was not quite functional enough to start an argument with him, and couldn't find the energy to even make a snarky remark. The inevitable bickering would simply have to wait. He tossed empty wrappings into a trashcan nearby and promptly opened a new package, slipping yet another into his mouth.
"Already itching to get on the field, I see?" He questioned with a tilt of his head. She bristled. He knew how much of a morning grouch she was, so was he intentionally trying to irritate her? "I'm assuming that meant you slept well? Cause I sure as heck didn't." Now that he mentioned it, Takashi looked terrible. His own fatigue was barely hidden under a cheerful tone, but if she payed close enough attention, she could see dark circles beginning to shadow his eyes. His face contorted into a grimace, puffing his cheeks out for an added effect. "Can you image how awful it'd be if the guild ran out of money and we couldn't get anymore food? Man... It'd be a shame, alright...a big shame.." Ugh, this boy and his food. But just speaking of which made her stomach groan in response. She snatched two of his sushi rolls and popped one in her mouth before he could do anything otherwise.
Without realizing it, Akira had made it a habit of swiping small portions of his food on a daily basis. It just always seemed like he had snacks right when she desired nourishment, or at least, being around him with his constant eating habits made her hungry as well. The two of them teetered between the status of friends and enemies (frenemies if you prefer) like a coin rolling on its edge; a fine line, yet the coin could topple to either side at any given moment. For all the ceaseless quarrels that they shared were worth, they could never be found too far apart from one another. Seemingly enjoying each other's company, dragon slayer and water mage alike often went on jobs together, as the guild was too new for much of anyone to establish any concrete teams. But still, at this point in time, all she could muster the energy for was a halfhearted grumble.
"If it was my choice, I wouldn't be in bed til after the stroke of midnight, or up before the hour of noon." The second sushi roll went down the hatch. Eyes squinted in concentration, she continued peering at the jobs. It seemed like all of the jobs were either boring with a high pay rate, or filled with danger for a mere two thousand jewel. She gave him a sidelong glance, or glare rather. If looks could kill, he'd drop on the spot. "And anyways, am I supposed to feel bad for you, seaweed brain? It should be illegal to be this chipper in the morning."
As if her cue came as soon as Akira's early morning frustration reached its peak, Setsuna burst through the door, ridiculous grin and all. To add to the clamour she was making, she roared a goodmorning greeting to the guild hall. A vein popped out of her temple when Akira barely heard Vain offer her and Takashi coffee. Not that it mattered, since the angry pumping of adrenaline quickly made extra caffeine unnecessary. Sparks crackled down the lengths of her forearms as she clenched her teeth and fists alike as she called out to the fiery blonde. "Is hot air all you have kept up in that loudmouth head of yours?"

Setsuna grinned, hearing the grouchy response of Akira to her morning loudness. It was true, she could sometimes be a bit too peppy in the morning for those who were not so easily woken up. Especially since Akira's lineage was just full of easily ticked off people, it wasn't exactly uncommon that they fought. Sometimes it was even over something as menial as passing a condiment from another table, or something along those lines of stupidity. Setsuna wasn't exactly sure why she could be so awake this 'early' in the morning, but she figured it was due to the walk that happened from her home in the middle of nowhere in the woods to the guild. That's probably what woke her up, because on overnight missions, she was absolutely horrible at waking up early. Also, her home wasn't wxactly in the best condition, as the roof had a bunch of holes. That one sunspot always shone right down on her face in the morning, successfully getting her out of bed faster than any words of encouragement ever could. But that's simply how it went, and Setsuna didn't know how to fix it, and she was too prideful to ask for help, so when it rained, there were a lot of buckets around, and she often forgot about them and got soaked anyway. She wasn't sure if anybody knew that she lived in her grandfather's house, but if they knew, they didn't say anything; if they didn't, then she supposed she'd prefer to keep it that way.
Back to the task in hand, she grinned widely as Akira snapped at her, incredibly eager and ready to have/host a fight this early on in the day. She had just walked in and somebody had answered her challenge. Today was going to be awesome! "I think that lightning magic may have fried your brain, Aki-chan!" Setsuna said, smirking at the blonde. "After all, there's so much more that you could be doing right now that would be productive towards the guild, instead of being a grouch, sitting there, and just blowing off steam! Besides, the only one here with a loudmouth is you as you challenge peoe to fights that you know you can't win!" It was all in good fun... Right?
((Okay, maybe not this post. I'll let it pick up a bit before I work on my other characters.))

He blinked slowly, his forehead crinkling as he realized that two of his sushi rolls were gone. "Hey..." He said quietly, his voice sounding heavy due to the fact it took him awhile to even notice that two rolls were missing. It had happened so fast. He lazily glanced over the requests. He was in no mood to do anything today. No one needed help that bad, did they? Unfortunately, Takashi was broke. And he could use the money. Even if it was just a little. That could at least buy him a nice dinner. And maybe a snack.
When Akira glared at him, he didn't so much as flinch. He was used to that from her. He knew she secretly hated him. But she was sort of nice enough to not show it. At least not all the time. One she had punched him square in the face for falling asleep instead of helping her with a job request. But even Takashi had to admit that he kind of deserved it.
His frown deepened. Seaweed brain? That was new. Then again, he had been eating a lot of sushi... "There's nothing wrong with being cheerful in the morning," He responded defensively but before he could come up with a good comeback, in came Setsuna -- loud as ever.
He hesitated as the two gave their little two cents in. Was here and now really the good time for a fight? It sounded way to exhausting. "Um...I think me and Akira were going to um go do a thing together. Right?" He said, giving Akira a gentle nudge. He wasn't sure if she really wanted to do this right now and he figured he could at least attempt to cover her. Great looks like I do have to go on a mission this early in the morning ugh. He tossed the empty sushi container into the trash and rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

Etsuko awoke from her dream with a start, swiping away the little bit of drool that was dribbling it's way down the right side of her cheek; a sheepish grin on her face. She was the only one in her dorm and yet she was still embarrassed every time she drooled (which has become more frequent lately). Etsuko glanced around her surroundings, frowning at herself. She had fallen asleep at her desk again, not her bed. She had been working hard on her research last night and apparently hadn't had time to crawl into her sheets. Now she was going to have a stiff back all night long. Lovely. She slowly sat up from her desk, popping her back as she stretched. Lately she'd been researching various fighting techniques aside from her own plant magic. Magic was an interesting and powerful thing and she found it fascinating to see how others fought and battled. But this research would also make Etsuko stronger -- at least she felt it would. Being able to know the movements might give Etsuko a little bit of a head start in foretelling what was going to happen next. But her research was just beginning so not much has happened yet with it.
Etsuko slipped into the bathroom and took a shower, washing the nasty sleepy-smell that came with morning. Sort of like morning breath but it was what caused greasy hair and stinky bodily smells. She slipped into a pair of jean shorts and a black t-shirt with sneakers and headed out of her dorm after watering her flowers.
She made her way to the guild hall, munching on a bagel as she went. She opened the doors to the guild hall, spotting Aria as she waited by the podium. No doubt ready to get this day rollin'. She gave Aria a slight wave as she made her way over to a table. She sat there, quietly enjoying her bagel to herself. She was still sort of waking up but wasn't quite in the mood to talk with anyone yet.

Setsuna's teeth flashed pearly white as her grin widened. Akira knew she was only picking a fight because that's how she interacted with people, but sometimes, it seemed like she understood flying fists much more than she could ever hope to understand kind words.
"I think that lightning magic may have fried your brain, Aki-chan!" Akira rolled her eyes. Like Setsuna knew anything about having a brain. "After all, there's so much more that you could be doing right now that would be productive towards the guild, instead of being a grouch, sitting there, and just blowing off steam! This time, one of Akira's eyebrows rose. Didn't she, herself, just use a steam insult moments before? Setsuna was really getting rusty at this whole trash-talk thing. No wait, that didn't sound right. She fought with people everyday, so there was no possible way the blonde could be bad at it. Perhaps she was just hopeless at using her head in general. "Besides, the only one here with a loudmouth is you as you challenge people to fights that you know you can't win!"
"Um...I think me and Akira were going to um go do a thing together. Right?" With that last remark, Akira's previously combative attitude melted away, her personality shifting to something reminiscent of her ancestor Laxus's lax nature. All of Setsuna's yelling paired with Takashi's quiet reminder suddenly made the fight seem like way too much trouble for this early of an hour. Her azure eyes flickered to Setsuna's flaming fists as she just sighed and turned back around to Takashi without deigning to give Setsuna a response. In the back of her mind, Akira knew that just flat-out ignoring Setsuna would irritate her the most, so in a small way she won anyways. Her back to the crazy dragon slayer, she finally found a job that caught her eye.
"What about this one, Ren? Nine-thousand jewel for roughing up some small-time thieves." Akira personally preferred much more dangerous jobs than the one she suggested, but she knew that Takashi was the opposite. The lazy teen was more accustomed to barely getting by with whatever seemed like the easiest job still well worth the pay, so, in a way, this was her compromise on the job selection. She continued murmuring to herself, "It looks like the request is from somewhere in Kunugi... That's not far, so we could finish the job and be back by tomorrow. Sound good?" She asked, finally turning to see his opinion.

Sora woke from her light sleep and rolled into the bed, her head lightly pressed against the wall. She gave a light groan, rolled back before pulling the covers off her and jumping out of bed. She stood, stretching her arms into the air before heading to the bathroom.
She washed her face, brushed her hair and teeth before getting changed into shorts and a tee shirt which she had left in the bathroom the night before.
She checked herself in the mirror as she did every morning, always suddenly feeling very anxious to leave her small dorm and head to the guild hall. She took a few deep breaths before heading towards the door and then to the guild hall. She tried to slip in without making much of a fuss before heading to one of the tables to sit down.

xxxxxxMari was lying face down on her pillow when the birds chirping outside of her window jerked her out of her sleep. She groaned as she flipped her pillow to cover the back of her head and her ears in an attempt to shut out the persistent chirping. Despite her nature, she was most definitely not a morning person. *Why can't those noisy creatures just let me sleep in for once* she thought grumpily as she went to roll out of bed. Mari lightly placed her feet on the ground and pushed herself up into a standing position. She reached her hands far above her head, leaned back slightly, and sighed in relief as soft popping sounds came from her spine, the result of a successful stretch after a good-night's sleep. She rubbed the back of her neck as she made her way over to view herself in the closest mirror. Bed-hair, sleep at the corners of her eyes, and even a little dried drool at the edge of her mouth; she exuded beauty. She merely laughed to herself before grabbing a clean washcloth and roughly wiping away the remnants her long sleep, and a hairbrush to tame the wild mess of purple that sat atop of her head. She quickly grabbed a black tanktop and pulled on some tan cargo pants as she made her way out of her room.
xxxxxxNot too long after, Mari was making her way down the stairs that would lead her into the guild hall. By the sounds that made their way up the stairs, it was obvious that most of the other members had already gathered and were chatting away with one another. Late, per usual. She had barely hopped off the last step when she heard Setsuna take a dig at Akira. It seemed that everyone's day was getting started extra early today. She weaved her way through the crowd and pulled up a chair near the group just in time to hear Takashi make an attempt to get the two of them off on a job. She turned the chair so that the backrest was facing the three guildmates. "Someone sure is lively this morning," she piped in to Setsuna as she plopped herself down on the chair with her hands and chin resting on the backrest. There wasn't a soul that couldn't say that this guild was your typical guild. It didn't take long for the robust scent of coffee to make it's way to Mari's nostrils. She turned her head to the side, just now noticing Vain and the coffeepot that she had with her, "Aww...can I have some of that?" she asked the quiet girl eagerly as she pointed at the pot that sat so temptingly on the table nearby. Despite being one of the last to show up, every little pick-me up was appreciated at this hour of the morning.Haru Tangen

xxxxxxHaru was outside the guild hall when the sun was peaking its rays above the horizon. For some reason, he had a certain fondness towards the early hours of the morning, everything was fresh and new and quiet; it was peaceful if nothing else after the dark hours were reaching their end. He leaned his back against the brick of the guild as he took in the surroundings, mentally preparing himself to enter the guild and see what the day would hold for the lot of them, maybe there'd be some excitement, or maybe everyone would keep to themselves per usual and it'd be yet another quiet day with Aria having to coerce the guild to do something. Haru lifted himself from his slouched position and made his way to the door of the guild; he rounded a corner and tussled with a particularly overgrown bush before he found himself in front of the oversized door that they called the entrance of the guild. Only one way to find out what the day had in store.
xxxxxxHaru pushed a door open and casually strolled into the place that he called home with his hands in his pant pockets. He took inventory on everyone that had arrived before him, *Ah, Etsuko looking grumpy, check; Aria watching everyone like a hawk, check* It seemed like a small gathering, but soon enough the other guild members would file in, probably keep to themselves, and they would all proceed with whatever peaked their interest. He melded into the shadows and appeared shortly after next to Aria. "Seeing anything interesting leader, miss, ma'am." It wasn't uncommon for Haru to be a pain in the neck, sometimes this guild needed a little livening up, especially at this time of the day. He didn't even bother to look at Aria as he spoke to her, he kept his eyes on the unusually quiet Etsuko, maybe he'd get a rise out of her for staring.

Vain gave Mari a look, surprise evident on her face. She'd always offered everyone coffee, she had since she'd joined the guild and started making it, but nobody ever accepted it, not more than once, anyway. In fact, it had gotten to the point where she'd drink the whole pot by herself, a habit for which, mistress Cana always said, she'd have a heart attack before much longer. Especially with the way she made it, it was more like coffee pudding than actual coffee, with almost three times the caffeine to boot. She was a little protective of it, actually, she wasn't really sure she wanted to give it away. She'd made it, after all, shouldn't she be the one to enjoy it? Why give it to people who didn't appreciate its value?
No, she thought, only someone totally addicted would do that, and she wasn't addicted. Not at all. She could stop anytime she wanted. "Sure," she said, pouring the sludge-like mixture into a second mug and sliding it over to the other wizard. Before anyone else could ask, she drained her own mug and poured herself another. She wasn't even sure why, it wasn't like she needed the energy. Maybe she was addicted. No, that was ridiculous. She liked coffee, was that so wrong? So maybe she liked it a little differently from everyone else, what of it? Everyone else had weird habits, she was sure, hers wasn't that bad. "It's strange," she continued, "not many people like my coffee, you're one of the first to want any in a long while."
When Setsuna and Akira started squaring off, Vain's hand went to the hilt of Eisenmeteor. She wasn't going to have the guild hall getting destroyed, not this early in the morning anyway, and certainly not by those two. Two dragon slayers facing off could do damage a lot more permanent than if Setsuna was fighting one of the other wizards. When Akira backed off, Vain lowered her hand, though she didn't quite let herself rest easy. "She really can't stop herself, can she?" She asked of no one in particular, smiling a rather bemused smile.
(Will post for Aria when I can)

Setsuna bristled as Akira turned her back on her in favor to pick a job with Takashi. Part of her brain was telling her that it was better if she didn't have a full on brawl this early in the morning, but the majority of her thoughts was trained on 'dude! Let's battle!' Which was a trait she strongly inherited straight from her grandfather. Of course, that'd definitely meant that by ignoring her, Akira was only successfully pissing Setsuna off even more. "Oi! Don't just pick a fight and then ignore me!" she frowned, growling loudly as her hands ignored in bright crimson and orange flames. The blond was ready to go, and she moved her pigtails back into one ponytail, eyes narrowed a bit as she called Akira. "Put up your fists like a real mage!" Seriously - it seemed as though she was begging for a beating. It was a good thing Setsuna was powerful - otherwise she would have been beaten to death more than a year ago. Master Cana (as ancient as she was) even told her that she was too much like Natsu for her own good, but the Fire Dragon Slayer just didn't care. In fact, she rather liked being compared to him! She practically idolized Natsu as the 'best mage ever'. He even (when he was still alive) gave her his home to live in - which was particularily nice considering her relationship with her mother was rocky.

Hanaru had always been an early riser, although whether it was due to past events or simply habit, she wouldn't say to anyone. She lived in a tiny apartment by herself, where she and her angst was left alone to brood by themselves. She didn't mind the solitude, and openly welcomed it, seeing it as a time to be away from the guild. The only person who hung around enough to actually somewhat understand her was Motonmaru, and he was a creep/weirdo who didn't talk a whole bunch. She could also tolerate a few other members of the guild, but not that many. The walk from her place to the Silver Coffin Society guild wasn't so far away from her apartment, so she had been there sitting inside the guild by herself, and whether or not anybody had noticed that she was sitting there, she didn't particularly care. They could leave her alone for the rest of her life, and even then that wouldn't be long enough - or so she thought.

xxxxxxMari continued to speak, not even paying any attention to the fact that the coffee that should've smoothly poured from the canister, was most definitely not the proper consistency. "I have to give my body something because these eyebags certainly are not lying." She moved her hand in a sweeping motion and picked the cup up to her lips. She tilted the cup slightly to allow the brown elixir drain into her mouth, but stopped it short. The sludge had barely touched her tongue before Mari noticed that anything was wrong. A chill ran up her spine due to the fact that the she was not ready for the oddly thick coffee. She closed her eyes to hide her surprise. *Oh my, oh my, oh my* was all that ran through her mind as she tried to come up with a way to get out of this...sticky... situation. She didn't want to insult her guildmate, but how in the world did she think that this was something that ought to be called coffee? Slowly, Mari tilted the cup back to a neutral position and returned it to it's spot on the table. "Is that so? I surely can't see why anyone would be against this special treat," she answered back with a small smile.
xxxxxxMari's attention was pulled away from the appetite killing coffee to Setsuna, who was clearly getting riled up again just because Akira was refusing to answer the instigation. Maybe Setsuna would just give up and go on through the day like any other guild member...or not. It was obvious that Akira wasn't in the mood, but that certainly wouldn't stop the fiery mage. At least she helped keep things lively around here.

Trinity had gotten back in the wee hours of the morning, her gait tired and plodding but her pouch seventy thousand jewels heavier. Not literally her pouch, as her bank account and pocket dimensions held most of the money that she had earned, bit she was too tired to think up a better metaphor. She was also too low on magic power to teleport without really tiring herself even further, hence the walking. She remembered once when she had tried to push her magic reserve and ended up failing midway through a teleportation, disappearing into a pocket dimension for hours. She shuddered at the memory, steps instinctively speeding up as she tried to get home.
While it was late enough to be called early morning, Trinity was still quite content; rarely did she get a chance to relax, as her job, guild, and the unfortunate target sprayed on her back all made for a pretty stressful time. Stretching and cracking her back, she smiled as the guild, her guild, came into view, the modest building a sight for sore eyes that had been on the road for more than a month. Arriving at her house -which was three blocks away from the build- Trinity threw her travel items down on the coach and went straight for her bed, not even bothering to change or clean up. Groaning as she saw the time, she fervently wished for a few hours of peace before the sun would inevitably jerk her awake.
True to her word, Trinity woke after only three to four hours of sleep, the sun shining through the window that she had forgotten to draw the blinds on four hours prior and hitting her face, making her flinch. Groaning as she sat up, she blearily surveyed her room, trying to gather her bearings. She was one of those people who were vigilant enough that once they were awake, they could rarely go back to sleep unless they were completely burnt out. Which is why she clambered extremely unwillingly ouat of the soft and warm confines of her sheets and went to hunt for new clothes. Pulling on her usual outfit -a teal, grey, and brown ensemble that vaguely resembled the clothing of princes from medieval times- and tugging on her gloves and cloak, Trinity looked outside at the door of the guild bank. Concentrating just a smidge, she suddenly found herself in front of the doors that she was looking at a second ago, accompanied by a faint lurching motion and swooshing sound that she had long been sensitized to. Pushing open the door, she went to fetch herself a hearty meal, settling on hangover food even though she hadn't been drinking. Even so, it felt like it, her mouth dry and her movements sluggish. All that she needed was a headache, and lo and behold!! Hangover day. Shoveling food into her mouth, she stared at nothing, mindlessly chewing as her tired mind wandered elsewhere.
Shouts broke through her drowsy fog, and dull teal eyes slid over to the usual culprit. Or in this case, culprits; it seemed like another squabble was commencing. A dull spike of pain shot through her temples and she massaged them, sighing. Yep; there was her headache. Today was hangover day. Maybe she should ask Vain for a bit of her hair-curling coffee, although her stomach, knowledgeable from past experiences, screamed protests. Settling on a mug of steaming chamomile, Trinity stared at the dark liquid for a second before gulping it down, wincing slightly as it singed her tongue and throat. Slumping over in her chair, she glanced over at the message board, thanking the stars when it seemed relatively sparse. It meant that she could at least have a bit of rest, something that she coveted like gold.X

Xavier woke up to the sun shining in his window, the golden rays dusting everything in a wonderfully yellow glow. Which he completely ignored, turning on his side and catching a little more sleep. When he did wake up, it was already quite late, and most everyone would be in the guild by this point. Slowly getting out of bed and neatly making it, he made his way across his prim and proper apartment and went to get ready, cleaning up and putting on clothes that, despite being quite common material, seemed to be expensive. Perhaps it was the way that Xavier wore them, all self-satisfied and smug. Fixing the sleeve of his shirt like it was a suit, he stepped out of his apartment, making his way to the guild.
Sound buffeted him as he opened the large, ornately crafted doors. There were people have their own conversations, making up the general din of the hall, but there was also... Ah, yes. The fire dragon one. The one who seemed to have limitless reserves of energy and one who currently seemed poised to start a fight. Merely raising an eyebrow, Xavier went and ordered a semi-classy breakfast, unable to shake the habit of using utensils "the proper way" as he cut into his sausage. Popping a morsel into his mouth, he chewed contentedly as he scrutinized the two guild members currently holding the spotlight. It seemed that fire-girl was all raring to go, while her friend seemed equally annoyed and equally exasperated, unwilling to even bother to fight. The third person, the guy, also seemed to be quite the mediator. Humming to himself, he cut off another piece, content with watching no matter if a fight broke out or not.X

Alexandra had gone on a run in the early hours of the morning, pent up energy getting expended as she jogged her way around town. Smiling to herself and humming a little tune, she honestly tought the run had gone by too fast when she neared her home. Despite the fact that she was sweaty and her muscles burned with a familiar ache, she felt flooded with energy; with that, she hopped inside her home and took a shower, up for the day and certainly bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Putting on her outfit -an ensemble that seemed vaguely rogue-like and complimented her hair- Alexandra bumbled around her house, cleaning up debri and shoving clothes in the washing machine, all the while chewing on a small protein bar that she always had stocked. Once she found the room satisfactory enough, she left to go to the guild hall. Of course, Alexandra's version of 'neat' might be slightly skewed and still seem a bit messy to people, but it was the thought that counts... Right?
Upon reaching the guild hall, Alexandra swung the doors open with a bright fervor, grin wide as she called into the building. "Hi there, everyone! How're y'all doin'?" Practically marching inside with a spring in her step, she grabbed an armload of food and plopped herself down at a table, grinning at anyone and everyone who gazed at her or caught her gaze and started to consume the impressive pile of food, something only made possible by her impossibly high metabolism and endless stomach.
