Slick kept pacing, quickening his stride, spinning around Luka. Just as before, she was crying and mewing pathetically, and he smelled the fear that rolled off of her in waves. Again, Slick did;t like to harm females, but this cat didn't seem able to take a hint. He began flexing his claws and debating whether or not he should swipe at her and send her running back to the filthy city. He flicked his ears, a voice inside his head yowling, Have patience! No need to get into a skirmish with the poor thing. Yet.
Growling and gritting his teeth, the tabby stalled for time, deciding he should hear her out first before then choosing to attack. Slick spat, slowing down suddenly and stopping before the tortoiseshell cat, "Oh, honey, don't mistake me for some twerp you can maneuver your way around just like that. Tell me, and tell me now before I send you running: What business do you have here?"

She glanced at the kit near them and sighed, taking a different approach as she sniffed, pushing her weight off the ground. "A-All I'm doing is seeking shelter. The city is dangerous, surely you're aware of that."

"Clearly, the forest has its challenges but I'd rather risk it here than out there..."
