Guzore stood up and looked around the room he was in. On one side there was a bed and a dresser. There were two doors; one on the wall perpendicular to the dresser and one parallel to it. On the remaining wall, a cracked window with vines on the outside of it let a few rays of light into the room, illuminating a painting on the wall.

Oh! That looks like old Hylian! This is a great chance to use my "Reading Ancient Text for Dummies" book!
Guzore pulled out the small book from his bag and flipped to the right page.
Alright, the bottom says... Y... E-A-R... 1-2-3. So this painting was painted 27 years ago, huh? Let's see what the text at the top says.
...
No way! This is impossible!

MEANWHILE IN ROOM 11

I suppose it won't hurt telling you since you'll cease to exist soon anyway... When I was 3 years old, I had... a brother. His name was Gordon. The ghost's voice had become quieter and less angry.

DRAMATIC TRANSITION BACK TO ROOM 3

Shane, Leah II, Gregal, and Gordon? Who was Gordon? I know Leah II is our King's sister, and that she got married and had a son named Gregal, but I never knew Gregal had a brother... What could've happened to him?

BACK TO ROOM 11

Gordon was very dear to me. He was very calm and laid-back. In the 3 years we knew each other, we would read books, ride horses, and do all the merry things. But alas, he fell victim to an incurable illness and died. It was a tragedy, and I couldn't deal with the fact that he...that he was GONE.

The room began to rumble again.

Oh, when I inherited this mansion, I found a series of spell books in the library not available to the public. I spent 2 years studying dark magic so I could bring Gordon back from the dead. I finally found a spell that would've given me the power to open a portal to the afterlife and find Gordon's soul! Something went wrong though. I wasn't able to open the portal all the way, and I became trapped between life and death in the state you see me in now... Another thing that came in the process of casting the spell was that Gordon was erased from everyone's memories.

My future seemed clear - I would spend eternity as a ghost in my mansion... but people started coming along trying to steal my possesions! I wouldn't have had a problem with it if they hadn't tried to take that painting...The only thing I have left of Gordon!!
...
I think... I think I'm going to erase you now.

By now, the entire room had begun shaking along with several other rooms in the mansion. A ghastly figure emerged from the mirror resembling what Gregal used to look like. Before he made a move though, he stopped in his tracks.

The... The painting! Someone has it!

Guzore had picked up the painting.

After searching the large room thoroughly, Sapphire found a intimidating set of stairs, some locked doors, and one iron. Sapphire looked up the staircases again. She would try those later. First of all, she was to find out if there was anyone near. Suddenly, she felt the floor shake beneath her and she fell over. The shaking grew more and more violent, then stopped. Well, time to check for others. Sapphire went over to one of the walls knocked on it (Sapphire doesn't know this, but the wall is connected to room 4), saying in a loud but timid voice, "Hello? Can anyone hear me? Is there someone in here?"

His eyes fluttered open, squinting, dilating at the faintly radiant beams of the rising moonlight, that illuminated the dusty, damp, and eery room that he had awoken into.
Zeph was disoriented and fatigued, as well, the gash on his arm stung achingly, it was now phlebotomizing and oozing through the gauze he had sheathed it in.
The aching in his arm drew him back to reality.
Hmph-mmhm?
-Huh?!
He exclaimed, snapping up off of the couch he was reposing on.
Zeph examined the room- observing both couches, the 3 tables, the paintings on the walls, the door, and the window.
Hm.
The room was not exactly what he would call liveable, however it did have a rather eclectic feel.
It was furbished to look like a once-modern-antique-feel, with robust and eccentrically detailed wooden carving on all the furniture, as well as red velvet accenting on couches, and chairs.
In total, the room was very well furbished, and perfectly suited his taste in design.
But something was off.
something
But now was not the time to ruminate on such medial topics!
He could feel the Mansion influencing how he felt, already. It was as if it was forcing him to feel fearful, jumpy, anxious.
Zeph had quickly recounted where exactly he was.
There was a quick eery creak in a floorboard, that came from inside the current room, it reverberated before he realized that he may not be alone.
creeeeaaaak
Without giving it a second thought, he bolted for the door.
Agh!
It wasn't locked, it was jammed.
He rammed his shoulder into the door, it didn't budge.
He wasn't strong enough to force it open.
Ugh. Reinforced wood.
He heard another floorboard creak, He spun around to where he heard it emanate from.
creeeeak
There was nothing there.

iluminar mi mano con la luz cursi

He spoke, under his breath.
A small orb of light materialized above his palm, shining a dim purple light transversely around the room, not lighting it significantly better than the twilight sun beams outside the room.
He decided to search around the room to see if he could find anything that he could use to escape this room.
After a few minutes of cascading the room, he only found INSERT WHAT HE FOUND HERE; REFERENCE BRYCE
He decided to try the window.
He stepped in its direction, before actually looking at it.
Whatever mirage it was that the house was making him see seemed to dissipate into nothing but a hazy mist.
He stopped dead in his tracks.
There was indeed twilight light pouring in from that area.
But the window was covered, and you could not see the outside from it.
creeeeak
the floorboard creak came from where he thought the window was
Zeph immediately spun on his heels and ran for the door, putting all the effort he could into knocking it down, escaping.
He charged for it, with all his force, closing his eyes in the process.
...
...
He never felt himself hit the door.
Zeph opened his eyes, he was outside the room, in the grand foyer.
He turned, and in shock looked at the door.
it was completely intact.
As if he had never even hit the door.
He looked down at his wrist, it was still bleeding.
He could feel something watching him. Something without a physical presence.
The house? That voice?
His hands trembled, the light in his eyes was flickering, and his hair stood on end.
He could feel icy breath on his kneck.

Oh, hey Zephyrus!
Guzore stood in the room, looking eager to tell him something. Without considering why he had just tumbled through the door into the room, Guzore began telling Zeph of his discovery.
So I found this painting in this room, see? And it looks like Gregal had a brother once! Can you believe it? I wonder what could've happened to him. Maybe it was similar to what happened to Gregal..
Before Guzore could trail on any further, the room began rumbling.
My painting! Retrieve it from the rock-man and kill him, minions!!
With that, three Poes (see tinyURL.com/ExplorersOfHyruleEnemies for a full list of enemies. The image is also now on the front page of this forum.) emerged from the walls and closed in on Guzore and Zeph. Guzore put the painting in his bag and pulled a sword from its sheath. The ghost man was too much of a wimp to come fight them in person? These three little things were gonna be a piece of
-SWOOSH-
As Guzore swung his sword at them, it phased through their bodies.
What the!? What kind of magic is this?
He swung again.
And again.
And again.
His sword wasn't working against them. A good 'ol Goron punch should do the trick in that case!
-SWOOSH-
His punch phased through as well.
Zephyrus, none of my physical attacks are working against them!
(Your move Zeph. And when he's done, Ferondir still has a chance to try to do something to the distracted Gregal in his room if he so chooses~)

After hearing no response, Sapphire looked up to he set of stairs again. She decided to go up them. Sapphire some doors, and tested one of them. It appeared to be locked. Felling panic at the thought of being trapped, she took a few calming breaths. Panic would do her no good. After a few moments, Sapphire went to the door on the right side of the room (relative to her position after coming up the stairs) and tested it. It didn't seem locked so she braced herself and rammed against it. It flew open, leaving her on the floor. Sapphire observed her new surroundings. What to do here....

Ferondir had clearly touched a nerve with this ghost. His brother. What a terribly sad story. He almost felt bad for the poor thing. Almost. The fact that it threatened to kill him kinda lost it his pity.
"I can help."
Ferondir knew what he had to do. This Ghost was a guardian. It's "unfinished business" was protecting the last remnant of it's brother. If the painting was destroyed, the ghost should be able to pass on.
Ferondir heard faint voices echoing from somewhere. "Take me to them and I'll help you."

Jack opened his eyes. What? He was just lying down, after he'd tripped, and, where was he? This wasn't the same room he remembered. This was hardly a room at all. Just a hallway. (He's in room 22) Jack groaned as he got to his feet, confused as he ended up back on the floor. Jack had never had a hangover before, but this must be what they felt like.
Why was this room so cold? It was broad daylight outside, right? How long had he been unconscious? Jack was having second thoughts about this mansion. Even if there was treasure in here, nothing would be worth staying here any longer than he had to. This place was... wrong. Jack had a hard time remembering why he came here in the first place anyway.
Jack managed to stand, and stumbled to one of the doors (to room 21) and tried to open it. The handle turned easily, but the door refused to open and Jack felt too weak to force it. Perhaps age had treated this mansion poorly. How old was this mansion, anyways? Why had he gone here, of all places?

Jack heard voices in another room. A goron? What would a goron be doing? Why was a goron in this mansion? What right does it have to be here? What was it DOING?
AND WHY DID IT HAVE JACK'S PAINTING?!?!?
Jack was filled with rage at this injustice, bashing open the door to room 21 and then charging through the rooms in his mansion, following the most direct path to his foyer.
Right before he reached the last door to where that goron was, he stopped. Something wasn't right. Something was very, very, wrong.
...
Oh, right. He had been using the wrong name. Gregal. Had a nice ring to it. He felt as if he was putting on an old jacket for the first time in years. No. More like meeting an old friend. Invigorated with new strength as he was finally ready to meet his guests, Gregal threw open the doors to the foyer.
It was time to put on a show.

I beg your pardon? You wish to assist me in killing your friends? I must say that's quite disturbing...

...I like it. Yes, look at this mirror here.
The mirror lit up and showed Guzore and Zephyrus.
Now these two... These two are my top priority to kill first. The human has incredible magical abilities; enough of which to be considered a threat rather than a nuisance. The Goron has my painting, but he can't perform magical attacks, so the only thing we have to worry about with him is his defense. I want you to go kill them, boy.

Della Collern/Color-Blind/Tagged: No one/Where: Room 14, Mansion

Della sat patiently, wondering if anyone was searching for her. Well, if anyone was she might as well help them... She stood up, took a deep breath, then started screaming at the top of her lungs. She seemed to be excellent at screaming.
