"What is it?" Elk asked, his tiny legs stiffening, peeking out into the deep forest from behind his sister. The scent in the air was pungent, even for a kit. This only worsened the young tom's fear.
"I...really don't know, Elk" How were they supposed to move forward if there was such a large group of cats? They could circle back and then go on....that'll set us off track for a while.Fawn's mind was racing as she ticked through all the possibilities.

Lionlight smiled back, trying to hide his obvious awkwardness. He turned to look at Faithstar, who seemed to be preparing to call out the meeting. He pricked his ears, his bright orange pelt twitching in anticipation. I wonder what it's going to be about? He thought, stretching up a bit to see over he bundle of cats. Maybe it has something to do about me?

She looked at her clan, watching them gather around Towering-Hill. She gave a quick glance to Emeraldsky, then to Lightningpaw. "Cats of HopeClan. We gather under the Towering-Hill for an important meeting," She began, her voice loud enough to reach even outside of the cliff the camp was in. "Emeraldsky has decided on an Apprentice, and today we shall share her choice with you." She lifted her chin higher, wanting the words to come out as clear and loud as possible so every cat could hear it. Even the ones in their dens. "Lightningpaw," She began, her eyes directing instantly to the young tom. He leaped up onto Towering-Hill to receive his ceremony. "Lightingpaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a Medicine Cat, to stand apart from the rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

Swanfoot blinked, not as interested in the meeting as before. She laid down, still looking up at Faithstar. The white cat then looked over to Lionlight. "You're so tall from here." she joked, quietly.
