A Star Trek convention?! Figures it's so far away. I would do anything to meet Walter Koenig and William Shatner. But I haven't made my Star Trek cosplay yet, anyways, so even if I could go I wouldn't have a costume, thus wouldn't enjoy it as much.

Sorry I've been out of town and away from my computer! I'm not so sure what to say now...

But I liked Riker a lot more without his beard... I've gotten used to it now, but like Immortal, it shocked me when he first showed up with one. Pfft... and he does look like a lumberjack now, doesn't he?

As for just all-round Star Trek things that have been happening... I recently got introduced to Earl Grey tea. I'm a huge tea drinker and have been long before I saw anything TNG (or Star Trek in general) so it was natural that I had to try Earl Grey as soon as I realized it was one of Picard's signature habits. Turns out I love Earl Grey more than any other tea except mint tea... so... funny that happened.

And speaking of tea, one of my best friends keeps nagging me every time I drink Earl Grey tea about how they 'summon Discord' or 'eat the teacup'. Why? Because they're a My Little Pony fan (as am I, because of Discord), and they know full well that Discord is played by John de Lancie (same as Q). They also know that both villains are up there in my favorites when it comes to characters... and in one episode of MLP Discord eats a teacup. She relayed a link to that episode to me and said, "Now all I can imagine is Q telling Picard that it's not the tea that's good, but the teacup."

So yeah... interesting randomness from Rupert's corner.

Lol, the only reason I ever watch MLP was because my cousin wanted me to watch Discord... Its funny how Discord and Q are actually really similar even if John de Lancie didn't play them.
And I can Q telling Picard that, just to annoy him.

And if we're going to be talking about Q

And actually, John de Lancie did play Discord in MLP, which makes it ten times funnier.

I had no idea John de Lancie played both Discord and Q! That makes so much sense!

I haven't watched Deep Space Nine, but now I really think I should just so I can watch that scene.

I've never watched MLP, so I don't who Discord is..but that picture cracked me up.
As for a Star Trek costume, just make yourself a dress out of aluminum foil, buy some knee-high boots and a green wig, and voila! XD

Now every time I watch an episode with Discord, I'm going to imagine Q with a microphone recording his lines...

I'd like to try Earl Grey tea because, you now, Piccard, but I hate tea. I once had a 'hobbit day' where I ate 6 meals and had tea in the afternoon, but I couldn't stand the tea. Janeway drinks black coffee, but I don't like coffee either.

Funny story, acutally... upon doing some research Discord was actually originally based off of Q. XD

Ah, yes. I love tea... so when I discovered Earl Grey of course I had to buy some. I can't stand coffee, though... never have been able to drink more than a few sips.

Coffee definitely tastes better with sugar and cream. But when your stranded in the Delta quadrant, plain black might be appealing.
And its no surprise Discord was based off Q, they are too alike. They are annoying and can make things appear by snapping their fingers/claws together
