About

Based upon a idea I presented to the caaa in 2014, volume 18. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on it, planned to make the thread, but never did. This will only last about three times every year and is to be enjoyable for everyone, whether member of the caaa, or a member of cs. No one is excluded, and is a open event. To make it slightly more organized you will be grouped in two groups. Like the original Art fight.

How does this work? Art fight is a event where members gift other members art of their characters. With each and every art piece they created and gift to other members, you will accumulate points. There are two opposing teams, Team #A and Team #B. Whichever team gifts the opposing team and accumulates the most points wins.

Artwork must be drawn only, and drawn completely by yourself. Whether traditional or digital. Each artwork piece you create will be graded individually by a judge. The grading will not be based upon your art skill, but what you've done. For example, a lined colored fullbody will be worth more then a sketch.

Grading is completely fair, and if you believe there is a miscalculation, you may contact a administrator of the thread by private messaging them. We will then double check the point calculations with our grading chart (which can publicly be viewed by you as-well.) and if we have accidentally let you off by points, they will then be added back to your balance and your team's point balance.

We reserve the right to take action if we feel our rules are violated.

1. All of Tess' rules apply.
2. You may not modify other's artwork without their permission.
3. You may not gift people on your team within this event.
4. You may not make a request to be on a particular team - teams are generated fairly.
5. Artwork must be completely your own. This means no tracing, no using linearts or having someone "draw" for you.
6. Sketches must be neat and we must be able to recognize the character or you won't be awarded any credit.
7. Everyone of all art skills and levels are welcomed.

Lineless = 6 points

Secondary points:
Semi-colored = +2 points
Colored = +4 points
Shaded = +3 points
Highlighted = +2 points

Minor points:
Headshot = +1 point
Half-body = +2 points
Full-body = +3 points

Background points:
Transparent/plain color = +0 points
Simple background = +1 point
Medium background = +2 points
Complex background = +3 points

Neatness:
Messy = +1 point
In between = +2 points
Neat = +3 points

Bonus:
Member whom has not been gifted before = +20 points
Active member whom hasnt been gifted = +20
Member who had been gifted = +1 points

How do I know which team i'm in?

I will assign you to a particular team. For instance Person #1 posts, they will end up in team A. Then afterwards when person #2 posts they will end up in team B, and so on.

When will I receive my art?

You get it instantly once you refer back to the thread.

When we finish an attack, where do we submit the form?

On the main thread.

Do we have to pm the person we attacked, or will they be pm'd by someone else?

You may PM them, but it's optional whether you do.
