Okapicloud woke. It was a cold morning. In the darkness of the warrior's den her eyes and claws glowed. She got up and went into the clearing, longing to hear the voice of Stripestar her brother. Instead, silence greeted her waiting ears. She would never get used to the loss of her brother. It had been many moons, and they were still awaiting a sign as to who the new leader would be. She turned and headed for the medicine cat den. "Oddfoot?" she meowed, her voice echoing a little. Fog bled from her lips as she spoke. It was a cold morning indeed. Okapicloud refused to take her brother's place as clan leader. If the Glowing Ones had wanted her to be leader they would have sent a sign to Oddfoot.
