Gravelstar had woken up due to the sun shining into her den. Rising from her sleep
was her least favorite thing to do in the morning, but the good thing was that she
got to see her beautiful clan and spend another day with them. She stood up and
yawned while stretching her tired limbs. Swaying her tail, she padded out of her
den and climbed up the Great Pine's lowest branch which was about 4 feet off
the ground. She noticed the prey pile below as her stomach roared with hunger.
Jumping off of the tree, the padded over to the prey as Flamecloud approached
the pile as well. She stopped in her tracks so she could take her choice of food.
Flamecloud had then come over and offered her to share her prey. "Of course,
Flamecloud. Would you like to split the thrush yourself and then you can take
half of your choice? I shall take the other half." She purred with a smile.

Snowpaw woke up in the apprentice's den. She got up and stretched, she looked outside, "Sunny today, isn't it?" She took a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and happily ate it to the bone, she put the extras away. She got up and nudged a mossball around, practicing her hunting skills, pretending it was a mouse. She giggled, but then stopped. "Its awfully.. quiet." She thought, she kept playing with the mossball anyway, she now pretended it was a rabbit, she pushed it hard, so it scittered across the camp, she smiled. "I hope I'll see my mentor soon.." She looked up and around, then saw Flamecloud and GravelStar, "It isn't that lonely.." She smiled and continued playing with the mossball.

Gravelstar shifted her head to Snowpaw who was pouncing on her mossball. "Good morning Snowpaw! How did you rest? She called over to the apprentice. Their camp was small, so she was certain that she could hear her from where she was. "Have you eaten yet?" she called again as she swished her tail.

Snowpaw stopped playing with the mossball and looked up at GravelStar, "I've rested well, and yes, I've eaten a mouse."

"Ah, yes. Good." she purred looking back at Flamecloud. "So how about it?" she then tilted her head with question. Nudging the prey over to her, she smiled, and looked down at the thrush that was now at her deputy's paws.

Flamecloud dipped her head to her leader. "Yes ma'am." She said politely. She gnawed the thrush in half, the savory meat making her want more as her long teeth sunk into the warm body. Flamecloud chose the smaller half and pushed the bigger half over to Gravelstar. "Enjoy." She mewed, leaning down and taking a bite of the sweet thrush. After Flamecloud finished her meal, she settled down and groomed herself, making sure every hair was in its place. "So, uh, Gravelstar.. When do you think I'll get my next apprentice?" She asked warily, hoping Gravelstar would assign her an amazing young cat.

"Thank you, Flamecloud." Gravelstar leaned forward and gnawed on the tough skin that was on the prey. Gravelstar finished soon after Flame cloud did. As soon as She had asked her for an apprentice, she instantly turned around and looked at Snowpaw and though, Hmm, will these two be a good mix training-wise? She pondered a bit and blinked at her deputy. "How about Snowpaw, Flamecloud? She could use some good training from such a loyal clanmate such as yourself." She smiled and laid down, catching some soft rays of the sun as she awaited Flamecloud's choice.

[ Imma go to sleep now and respond to any posts when I wake up.. what time is it? Like.. 11:00? Geez, I've been awake too long. Goodnight guys! ]
