Being a stronger swimmer, Shadowstar had been able to start to shore. She hissed as he went under, and immediately dove under after him. She couldn't just leave him.

He rose up and spluttered. "HEELP!" he went under again. Suddenly her came to a load of rocks and weed, his foot got tangled and rocks cut his flank.

Shadowstar swam down, nipping away the vines. She emerged, gasping for air, before grabbing his scruff and dragging him towards shore.
