the apprentieces face lit up with hope. as the two cats padded away, he looked around for falconfoot, his mentor. spotting the black and white tom, he bound over to him.
"hey falconfoot! can i go out with dewfeather and cinderpaw to collect herbs today? they could use a little extra help" he meowed, trying to hide his excitement. the tom couldn't stand still and kept flicking his tail to control his pent up energy.

Hollystorm picked up speed once she left camp. Though, as she neared the meadow, she slowed her pace and parted her jaws to scent the air, hoping to find her favourite type of prey; vole. She was determined to catch one, no matter what.

"a-alright, only because you have been doing well in training," he praised lightly, "it would do you some good to learn about herbs." falconfoot gave him a light smile with a nod, dismissing his apprentice.

embertail smiled at the leader, her head tilting softly as ivystar replied quite bluntly, but she shrugged it off. the tortoiseshell warrior gave her chest a few licks before looking up at the molly. she shook her head. "no no, i rested fine. i'm not the cat to sleep in, but more as the early bird," she explained, wrapping her tail neatly over her small paws. embertail flicked an ear, and ran a tongue over her lips. "is there anything out of the ordinary planned for today?" she asked, smiling lightly.

"is that all you got?" she teased, beckoning him over with a flick of her tail.

the gray tabby apprentice beamed as dewfeather agreed. she turned to bearpaw, her ears hot, and sent him a sheepish, yet excited smile. cinderpaw let out a shaky sigh of excitement, and followed her mentor to the entrance of the den, her tail tip flicking. the medicine cat apprentice looked up at her mentor. "re we low in herbs already?" she asked, her words a bit slurred. cinderpaw still couldn't believe that she had asked her mentor if bearpaw could come along, and she couldn't believe that bearpaw was going to teach her how to hunt! bearpaw. teaching her! all alone. cinderpaw swallowed back an excited squeal.

The molly's eyes lit up once she caught the scent of mouse. It wasn't what she was hoping for, but it was something! Lowering herself, Hollystorm crept towards the area where the scent was coming from, soon spotting the small creature around a hole in the ground. She knew she'd have to wait for it to further itself from the hole if she had any chance of catching it, so she halted and didn't make a sound.
Though..., It didn't take long for her impatience to get the best of her and she sprang forward much too early, scaring the mouse back into it's home. "Mouse dung! she hissed in anger, tail lashing and fur bristling.
