Personality: Kasey, at a younger age, was very reserved but sweet. She sought attention and validation from her peers, and gave that back tenfold. She loved horses and music dearly, and spent plenty of time strumming her precious guitar and working with the mustangs on the farm she lived walking distance from. She was very shy and it took her a while to come out of her shell, and even then she was a girl of few words. However, she was funny in her own kind of way, not sarcastic, per se. A touch of wittiness goes a long way. She's extremely cautious and apologizes a bit too much, and gets worked up over little things (people not responding to her texts and calls being a number one thing). You can probably guess that she's a little too clingy as well. She doesn't get angry too easily, as in almost any situation she blames herself before anyone else; a 'what did I do wrong?' mindset.

History: Kasey was born in suburban New Mexico, and stayed there for her whole life thus far. She lived nearly adjacent to a private cattle ranch that raised longhorns, quarter horses, and mustangs. She spent plenty of time there, befriending the (admittedly loud) teens and kids that lived and worked there. Eventually she convinced her parents to buy her an 18-year-old racehorse-now-hunter named Stride, whom she took to many local shows after being taught to jump by one of the ranch workers who happened to have showjumped in the past (and did fairly well at that). At school she was shy and usually on top of her classes; because of the amount of ruckus the other kids generally caused, she just blended in and stayed quiet so as to keep her focus. Her parents saw that she needed to get out some more and chase her passion with hunting and horses, and so sent her up north to Kentucky for the pony challenge.

History: Stride raced until he was 4, doing about as well as any average racehorse does; poorly. As such, he was taken up by an OTTB organization and sold to a professional hunter's stable, where he was gentled dramatically and shown in several statewide shows (where he did much better than he did in his racing career). Eventually, as he aged, the stable sold him to reap the profit, and Kasey's family agreed that he was a dream horse for Kasey, an excellent way to start her off in a serious horse career.
