I saw the Zver in Metallic's sig and now here I am. what is life.

I'm really interested in getting one of these cuties but I wanted to ask a couple questions first cause I'm a nerd;

I have a sort of head-world for my characters, and typically they tend to just communicate to each other freely through speech (not really sure how some of them do that), and loving the in-depth background on the Zver as I do I don't want to just ignore it. I guess there isn't much we know yet on them being able to speak telepathically, but I am wondering if there has been indication of them being able to speak telepathically with non-humans (or, the Zver speaking telepathically and the other responding audibly). And on that same line, I wanted to ask if it is acceptable to have our Zver living with/bonding to non-humans (mainly, other CS species, assuming they live on Earth)

I guess mainly I'm just asking how much it is preferred that we make sure the history/background of our Zver is kept correct. I'd like to keep it as close as possible to the canon without needing to place any Zver I might get in an entirely separate world from the rest of my characters.

That said, I'm probably gonna be trying out for one soon!

They wouldn't bond as closely with other species, but they can as long as those species exist on earth. As for whether or not they can speak telepathically with non humans, this would be far more likely as they are certainly closer to zvers than humans are. That's not to say it's not possible that zvers cannot speak telepathically with humans, there have just been no known cases thus far.
Of course, as zvers are known to learn and understand human languages very easily, they would very likely be able to learn and understand the languages of non humans as well. If those non human species speak in a similar way(via barks, snarls, etc) zvers could potentially learn how to communicate audibly with them in their own tongue since their vocal chords would likely respond better to similar animalistic sounds(but they'd probably have one heck of an accent haha)

@Celozon - Welcome to the club! Wow, the fact that all your characters live in the same world is pretty cool. I hope you enjoy your time here. :)

Hello again U.U I'll be posting here quite a bit now I'm the proud owner of this precious Zver Akvavik.

I'm looking forward to the new event, I'm sure I'll cry because all of these Zvers are so lovely and yet I can't have them all. I adore the new ones but I'm restraining myself for now u~u

Could I ask a few more questions about Zvers? (Sorry)
Do different Zvers have differences in terms of strength of telepathic abilities, and would it be possible to have Zvers that had no telepathic abilities? (Although survival may be a different matter). Is this an ability they have to learn to use, or is it an innate ability that they would gradually develop over time?
Also, what is the average lifespan of a Zver?
