Dirtpaw had just heard the news, he was going to have a mentor. He was so excited, he had been afraid that because he couldn't see he wouldn't be allowed to become and apprentice. Dirt ran through the camp and ran into somebody, "Hello," he said excitedly, "Do you know where Ashcloud is? Can you take me to him?"

(One thing- did you mean Pinefall? Because Pinewatch isn't a cat, although it's an awesome name, maybe he should be )

SnowPelt quietly padded around camp, and sat down staring at the ground. She picked up a mouse and ate it, she looked around for any bored kits or apprentices to take care of or play with.

Goosefeather woke up as the sun shone on her face. She trotted out of the den and sat outside the camp.

Birchwhisker heard Goosefeather leave but laid in his nest a little longer, not wanting to get up yet.

Blizzardpaw trotted out of the apprentices' den, he noticed Dirtpaw and trotted up to him, "Hello Dustpaw," he mewed.

"Hello," Dirtpaw said to Blizzardpaw, "Can you help me get to Ashcloud? I've asked some cat to help, but..." Dirtpaw prodded the object in front of him, "I think it might actually be a rock."

Blizzardpaw laughed, "Well, he may still be sleeping in the warrior's den, but I wouldn't bother him there," he said.

"All right then," Dirtpaw said as he sat down. He was really excited to get to know Ashcloud eventually.

"Is he your mentor?" Blizzardpaw asked

"Yea, he is. I'm glad they let me be an apprentice even though I can't... um, see what I'm doing," Dirtpaw looked down at the ground.
