How Breeding Works

If you would like to breed your Stuffalynns together, you'll need a Square of Cloth.
If you want to keep any of the babies, you will need to get Black, Gray, or White Thread.
Black Thread allows you to keep one of the babies produced by the breeding.
Gray Thread allows you to keep however many babies produced by the breeding that you want.
White Thread allows you to keep all of the babies produced by the breeding.
There are a handful of other Threads that can produce different results, as well.
The Square of Cloth and Threads can all be found in the Marketplace.

Partner Breeding

Partners are two different people who are breeding their Stuffalynns together.
Partners will only need one Square of Cloth and can split the cost of it.
Breedings between partners will always produce an even amount of babies.
Each partner keeps one baby and will discuss over PM who gets which.
If there are extra babies, they will go up for adoption and be adopted by someone else.
Partners will not need to use Thread to keep their babies. They automatically keep one each.

Payment Status

Whether you have paid for your Breeding or not will be marked after your name in the Slots below.
Please make sure to have the correct payment before requesting a Breeding slot!

About Genetics

_____Similar to animals, Stuffalynns pass on genes to their offspring. We know some of the genetic sequences of Stuffalynns that produce certain genotypes, and because of this there can be some speculation as to how a Stuffalynn's offspring will turn out. We can use Punnet squares to help us determine the possible phenotypes of offspring between two Stuffalynns. The best way to get a desired outcome in the offspring is by taking a look at the genotypes of two Stuffalynns and seeing whether the pair might produce the desired outcome. However, one has to also take into account that some genes are dominant and some are recessive.

_____If you don't understand how genetics work, don't worry! You will still be able to enjoy adopting, breeding, and dressing up your Stuffalynns! The only time genetics will be used is when two Stuffalynns are bred together. Every Stuffalynn is posted with a list of genes for Stuffing Type, Eye Shape, Ear Shape, and Tail Shape. When two Stuffalynns are bred, the genetic codes of the parents are put into Punnet squares, and the results of the offspring are randomized. If you are interested in learning about genetics feel free to PM rainbowpanda101! She will be happy to answer any and all questions regarding genetics to the best of her ability.
