[Queen Hydra]

Fallenwish frowned as he begun to hear cracks and snaps. Why was Snowpaw not looking where she was going? She'd done well with the mouse, but now she was making way to much noise. If the vole was deaf, it might still be there.
He bound over to his apprentice, stopping at her side. "What are you doing? You have to lift your paws over branches, not step on them." He meowed, unhappy. She'd been doing good and it kind of surprised him for her to suddenly start making so much noise. Even a kit knew to lift its paws over noisy things!

-Lostfire-

Lostfire looked back to see if Ravenmoon had followed, and saw she had. He turned his focus back on the flower. "This is borage. We'll need this for Dreamywyvern soon." He said. He'd seen the queen when she joined the Clan, and estimated that it would not be long before she had her kits. It would be a good idea to have borage in stock for when that happened. "Boarge leaves seeds, you can give them to a queen to help them produce more milk. But only green ones. If they start to turn brown, you must throw them out. That's why it's hard to keep in stock. Oh, if a cat has a fever, you can also use their roots. It sometimes helps with that. I'm going to gather some roots, sense it's kind of difficult. Can you please get some of the leaves and seeds? Careful though, the leaves are fragile."

Limpfoot smiled, pleased he had brought the queen food as she needed it. He hoped she was being cared for, though. But her speaking of Charredspirit made him perk his ears. "Charredspirit? You spoke with her?" This was an odd thought. She rarely spoke to her life-long friends, much less strangers. How odd. Maybe she was finally starting to recover. If so, it was about time.

Snowpaw frowned, she rolled over and sat down, her head lowered all the way to the ground fear in her little blind blue eyes, she feared getting hit. He sounded unhappy, she began to shaked sacredly, “I-I-I am s-sorry” She stammered, “I…I d-didn’t know i-it was t-there, I-I c-can’t see… I c-c-can’t s-see the b-branches” She cried sadly, she was blind. But she didn’t know if her mentor knew that or not, but he really did seem upset.

Ravenmoon nodded her head, “Alright” She meowed quietly, she had heard of the new Queen, she didn’t know what her name was, Dreamwyvern, what a strange name, she wondered where she was from anyways. She gently stroked the flower with her tail, ever so gently, she wasn’t rough with it at all, a completely different side of Ravenmoon that most do not get to see. She easily took off the leaves without harming a single one.

Dreamwyvern nodded her head softly, “Yes” She meowed gently, she reached down and took a bite of the bird she purred happily, “That is very good” She meowed licking her muzzle softly, “Would you like any?” She asked checking if he was hungry.

Fallenwish was upset, but he was most surely taken off guard by the little apprentice's submissive, scared behavior. He stared at her a few seconds. "What do you mean, you can't see the branches? They're in front of your muzzle." He said, his voice calmer from surprise. "Sh, I'm not going to claw your ears off." He added, not wanting the prey to be scared by her cries.

Lostfire gently started to dig around the flower, his claws sheathed so he did not tear any of the roots on accident. He was very selective of the roots he picked, taking care not to cut the large, vital ones- so that the flower would continue to live. He glanced up at Ravemoon, to warn her not to take to many leaves, but paused when he saw how...gentile she looked. Completely free of her hostileness. He was surprised, and didn't say anything. He just watched her.

Limpfoot shook his head. "No, thank you. I just ate a mouse." He told the queen. "If you don't mind me asking, how close are you to kitting?" He pondered. Maybe he could speak with Charredspirit later, and determine with himself whether she was changing for the better or not.

Snowpaw flinched, when he said she couldn’t see them, they were RIGHT in front of her, but even if she got stabbed in the eyes with one she wouldn’t see it. She tried to stop crying glad he wasn’t going to beat her like her parents did. “I-……I am b-blind” She stammered quietly, she quietly covered her face with her paws her tail curled around her side she awaited to be beaten, and called names and called screamed at like she normally was.

It took a while for Ravenmoon to notice him watching her, she was lost in her own world, she loved flowers she really did and it showed in her soft actions and movements, even the soft gaze in her icy blue eyes was such a change for her. She often forgot about others when she was around a flower, they were the only things that could die and come back and for that reason Ravenmoon loved them. Ravenmoon moved her shoulder slightly she winced snapping back into her normal state she looked at Lostfire and saw him watching her, “What?” she meowed wondering what he was staring at, was something on her fur?

~Dreamwyvern~
Dreamwyvern nodded her head and ate quietly, “Alright” She meowed and finished off the bird when she was done he asked her another question, one she knew very well. With the right herbs in this den she could give birth to these kits all on her own, she was trained for it after all. “Well I would at least say maybe a few days” She meowed, she knew they were ready soon, but she hoped they wouldn’t come out just yet.

Fallenwish flattened his ears. "You're blind?" He said, almost in disbelief. If she was blind, why hadn't he been able to tell? She'd caught a mouse! He wouldn't be able to catch anything if he couldn't see, most likely. No wonder she wasn't watching out for the sticks! She couldn't see them. "Why...why didn't you tell me this before?" He asked, trying to calm his voice again. The way Snowpaw positioned herself, hiding her face like that, it made him wonder what else she hadn't told him. It was as if she expected him to attack her. But he had no intention of such a thing.

-Lostfire-

Lostfire continued to stare wide-eyed at the she-cat, even after she turned and noticed him watching. He didn't think the softness in her gaze had been possible. He blinked after a moment and dropped the root he had in his mouth to the ground, pawing it into a small pile of others. "Nothing" He muttered quietly. "Don't pull all of the leaves off, leave some for the flower to have." He said, the sentence rushing from his jaws.

Limpfoot tilted his head. He liked kits, and was pleased there would be some in the Clan soon. "That's wonderful. Is it your first litter?" He hoped she didn't mind his personal questions, he was simply curious and interested in getting to know his newest Clanmate.

Snowpaw flinched a bit, “I..I.. I didn’t w-want to be h-hurt” She said, “M-My parents told m-me it’s a h-horibble t-thing to be blind, a-and that i-if you were you’re a u-useless g-good for n-nothing lump o-of fur” She stammered. “I d-didn’t w-want to be u-useless to t-the clan… I didn’t want t-to be hurt” She cried quietly keeping her face covered in utter fear, she had scars underneath her brilliant white fur, hidden, just like her past.

Ravenmoon blinked curiously, why had been staring at her? She nodded her head, “Who would be mouse brained enough to do something like that” She meowed, “The flower would die without its leaves” She meowed taking just the right amount, making sure there was enough for the beautiful flower to live. She rarely showed this side of herself, but when it did show, the change was simply stunning.

Dreamwyvern nodded her head, “My very first on my own” She meowed, “I’ve delivered many litter’s before, they are simply the sweetest” She meowed, she really like kits and was pleased that Charredspirit had been right, perhaps she was a blessing.

Fallenwish took a moment to think this over. He watched the young cat, his brown-yellow eyes not leaving her. "Snowpaw, I'm not going to hurt you." He finally said, and his voice was soft. "I'm honestly not sure how much a blind cat can do for the Clan, but you caught that mouse, did you not? That'll make a warrior happy." He pointed out gently. "Your parents were wrong. Come on, get up. I promise you'll be okay."

Lostfire shook his head. "Most cats would." He replied, taking a deep breath, then letting it out slowly. He pulled out another root, then carefully covered the intact ones back up. "Get some of the seeds, then we must go. It'll rain soon, and unless you want to be caught out here in it.." He trailed off, wondering what made Ravenmoon so soft. She was so gentile with the flower, as if it were a newborn kit. Could that be it? Could flowers make this rough-edged she-cat turn into a soft cloud?

Limpfoot nodded. "Lostfire, my cousin, has delivered a many as well. But sense he became medicine cat, few litters each year have been born. The Clan will be so excited." He didn't ask about their father- whoever it was, obviously she wasn't with the tom anymore, or else she wouldn't be here alone. And lost love was never a good subject. He thought if there was anything else he could ask her, but didn't really come up with anything. He lifted his injured paw and licked it a few times. Oh, it hurt. It always hurt.

Snowpaw moved her paws, her eyes staring blankly ahead. “Y-You won’t?” She meowed, she sat up a bit more, her ears perked a bit. She nodded her head, “I-I did c-catch one” She meowed softly, she smiled a bit, her being useful? That was her life’s dream. “T-Thank you F-Fallenwish” She meowed.

Ravenmoon frowned, “Some cats” She meowed quietly, they could be so disrespectful to such delicate plants in nature and such beautiful plants as well, the nerve. She shuddered, “Ugh rain” she meowed, she gently gathered the seeds, just as softly as she had the leaves, suddenly thinking that maybe that was why he was staring at her……. Curse her love for flowers.

Dreamwyvern blinked a bit, “Lostfire is your cousin?” She meowed, she looked at his paw, “You know Bilberry and Black Willow and maybe even some Broom would be good for helping ease the pain in your broken paw” She meowed sheepishly, she used to be a Wyvern, she knew these things like that back of her paw, but the question was if they had the same herbs here as they did where she lived.

Fallenwish nodded and licked the apprentice's head comfortingly. "If any warrior ever hurts you from my Clan, let me know. I'll have them punished. It goes against the Warrior Code to do such a thing, especially to a Clanmate." He said softly. "To be honest, I'm not sure how you'll ever be able to be a warrior, being blind. But I'll try my hardest to make you one." He promised. "We can work on your hunting and I may have an idea of how to stop you from stepping on those branches."

-Lostfire-

Lostfire was careful to look down at the roots as she gathered the seeds, not wanting to be caught staring again. He pawed at the roots, still muddling over how Ravenmoon acted to the flowers. After a few moments he did look up, however. "We must go now. Can you carry all of that yourself? It might make it easier to wrap the seeds inside the leaves." The orange tom suggested.

-Limpfoot-

Limpfoot hesitated. "Well, no. He's not. But he's as close to me as my cousins. We are all very close, him, my cousins, his sister- Charredspirit." He admitted. When she shot off a list of herbs- or what he figured were herbs, considering one was a berry- he stared at her, puzzled. He'd never heard of any of those, but it wasn't surprising. He knew very few herbs- only basic ones, like juniper and poppy seeds. "I'm sorry, I'm not sure..Lostfire has tried many things, but none of them work for long. Ravenmoon has trouble with her shoulder as well.." He trailed off, frowning at the ground.

[Blitz.]

Rainsong picked up the herb, and sniffed it, observing the leaves and texter, or anything on the plant.

She then came to her best conclusion with her limited knowledge.

"I think it could be borage, and the leaves and roots are useful, luckily, if I am correct..." she said, her voice lowering at the finish.

She wondered if she was right, she could be, or not, but either way, she tried.
