Vinekit squeaked again at the sound of Coalkit and pushed his tiny body farther into the moss. He let out a tiny mewl of fear and crouched there, trembling.

"I never wanted him to die. I still love you, ya know. Maybe if you weren't so hostile I could actually stand to be near you." he gently groomed her wounds.

"My kit?" she whispered to herself. She walked over to Amber "Did your name used to be Lilly?" she asked quietly.

She sat crying. "The name was to innocent for me mother... I want to be alone... no remaining members of my kin. Just me."

She leapt over to her, licking her cheek. "Calm down." She mewed.

When the fighting stopped, Veinkit peeked his tiny pink noise out of the pile of moss. "S-Spottedkit?" he mewled weakly. "Lunareye?"

She curled around Amber and gently groomed her face "Hey, don't say that. I'm here for you." she said softly.

Coalkit)

He purred "I love you, Lilly. You will always be Lilly to me and I will always love you."

She licked Coalkit's forehead and nuzzled Bluefeather. "I've got to go. My pack... their probably expecting me. Goodbye..."

She nuzzled Coalkit, happy for him. "How does it feel?" She mews.

She was so confused, but tried to calm down when it was revealed that Amber was Coalkit's sister. Then she heard Vinekit calling for her. Her ears perked and she dashed back to the nursery, hoping everything would be fine out in the middle of the camp. "Vinekit? You in here?" she asked until she saw his little head poking out of a pile of moss. "Hey, come on. It's gonna be OK, I think." She nudged the younger kit out of the hole he had dug himself in and carefully lead him to the entrance of the nursery. "See? The rogue is gone. We're safe for now."

"Are you sure?" Vinekit mewed. Sure the strange cat was gone, but for how long? His neck fur was still bristled and he was trembling.
