Birchclaw raised his tail in a show of goodbye. He wondered about what Frostfur had said. Breezestar was on-edge and irritated. She lashed out at her own warriors. This meant that either Breezestar was losing her grip...or she recieved bad news. But if it was bad news, did it arrive in the form of a prophecy? Or perhaps one of her warriors told her about some great danger. But this wasn't a place to speculate "Maplepaw?" called Birchclaw. "Let's go home."

"Ok can we race home?" She asked getting ready to sprint. "I haven't raced against a cat in forever... plus im really fast!" Maplepaw said grinning.

"Sure!" Birchclaw exclaimed. He knew that if Maplepaw was as fast as she claimed, then he would lost. Oh well. Apprentices should win sometimes. "On three: one... two... three!" Birchclaw took off, slowing down and looking towards Maplepaw. He then sped up, looking to make up for the lost speed.

At the sound of three she speed off looking at Birchclaw who was ahead of her. Got to go faster! she thought as the young apprentice picked up the pace and got ahead of Birchclaw who was trying to get ahead of her. Maplepaw wasn't going to let her lead get to her head so she sped up a bit more and she saw the entrance of camp. "Beat ya!" she exclaimed stopping at a hault and turning to look at her mentor.

"alrighty, well it looks like the border is right up here." the molly mewed to her apprentice as they quickly approached the border. "be careful not to cross it, it's pretty easy to do when you're not paying attention." tawnystripe paused to glance back at her apprentice, "I'd know, I may or may not have almost crossed the border multiple times while I was hunting. good thing my mentor noticed though, or that would not be a situation I would want to be stuck in."

Swiftpaw trotted after his mentor, listening to her. "You did what?!" he exclaimed when he heard Tawnystripe discussing how she may have crossed the border multiple times. He took a sniff, wrinkling his nose in disgust. "This smells disgusting," he said. "Why do the other Clans smell so bad?"
